We´ve reached the limit

Four years ago (correct me if I´m wrong) TJ did the first ever sw 1440 in a competition as far as I´m concerend. Still, not even all pros do them, they are rare in competitions and sw 1620s has only been seen a few times.

Anyone else feel like we have reached some kind of a limit here?

Personally I´m glad. I prefere 12s or less. Maybe if people all sorta agree that we´ve gone far enough, we´ll get more focus on inovation and style.

i agree but i dont think its that much about the 14 and 16s i think its more about people focusing only on dub 10 12 14 and switch dubs and forgetting about style innovation grabs etc.

when the highly talked about and anticipated ' dub cork 7 ' comes in this will change alot in skiing progression. In my opinion a dub cork 7 is the plat form for a triple cork even though triple corks my be a long way off . . . even though didnt turpin put a trip rodeo 12 to his feet rfecently?

we are getting somewhat closer the limit on how big we can go but we can always do diferent syles and think of new ways of doing the same tricks. like andy perry and his aproach to boxes and rails that is were i hope skiing will head instead of triple and quad flips to win competitions

everytime someone mentions a steezy 3 or something i always think of the huge corked out 3 hendrik pulled at sunset for the mammoth shoot. that was such an unreal shot, it was my favorite shot of the whole movie for sure.

honestly its NS's fault skiing has progressed so fast just think. b4 ns noone knew what everyone else was doin and we wouldve had to wait till the movies come out to see the next big trick so it wouldve taken that much longer for everyone to learn them and for them to catch on but instead they get posted up on ns everone sees them and goes right out to learn em and suddenly the trick is old. think about it its true

we can only push our bodies so much. but every single year the jumps are getting bigger and bigger. 5 years ago people had no idea what dub corks were and all these tricks we see now, but with bigger jumps, more foam and water ramps popping up year in and year out. skiing and snow boarding will find a way to progress. in skiing SIZE DOES MATTER haha

also, whether its triples, 16s, or triple 16s, nothing really bothers me as long as the style is there ie twalls switch dub 10 blunt.

in the timed mile people keep beating old times but by fractions of seconds at some point there will be no possible faster time for a human being. skiing will level out at some point. or things will only get better by small steps unlike in the past ten years where things exploded

Skiing is just going to get gnarlier and gnarlier, its just going to reach the physical peak and top out, the only thing is no one wants to send quad flips off 200 footers. It will just unfold and it will be insane to watch. Plus a dude did a quadruple twisty back flip in aerials and claimed it (granted this guy was a baller back in the day and aerials were badass). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UP5WwQlU9xs

Just so everybody gets this, I´m not saying that skiing can´t progress further, because it will, I´ll be the first to say that. But I´m feeling like we probably wont see spins over 16.
