Over the shoulder looking

so its pretty fucked up. i naturally spin lefty. but cant look over my left shoulder for shit when riding switch. I feel soo comfy looking over my right. and its weird i throw my mistys to my right and throw flats, corks, rodeos to my left(on trampolines that is lol). So i guess my reall question is when i ride switch and about to hit a jump should i stay looking over my right shoulder and learn to throw to the right. or learn looking over my left and spin my natural way?? +kk for the help.

well i mean if it feels pretty good hitting a jump looking over that shoulder, why not pursue it? but you should learn it your normal way too. sometimes it helps if you pop off the inside edge of your ski. so if u spin left, pop off the inside edge of your right ski, then get the spin going.

when im riding switch i do the same thing, and usually just spin unatty because of it, but i've been working on correcting it because i'd like to feel more comfortable spinning naturally when switch

sorry for the double post, but i didn't realize u said its just hard to look over that one shoulder. just work on skiing switch more, even outside the park just take runs switch. remember to stagger your feet. if your looking over the left shoulder, put your foot further back than your right foot. this will make the turn feel better and you will be able to see better

Thats the solution.
Also I sort of had this problem because my neck could not turn over my shoulder very well, but nothing a couple exercises could not fix.

dude dude dude dude i had the exact same problem last season.. just start spinning switch right. so much easier.IF YOUR HEAD IS NATURALLY GOING TO THE RIGHT, LEAD WITH YOUR HEAD AND SPIN TO THE RIGHT. i spin left natty and switch right and everyhting is all good!!!

i have the EXACT same problem. I'm just trying to learn how to look each way, but what some people i know do is look right till your almost at the lip then look left almost at the same time that you pop and use the rotation of their head to help their spin

yeah, i tried that too, but for one its scary, and for two spinning the way your head is already faced is so easy!!

i used to be like that. then for like a week when i walked home after school i looked left the whole time and now i prefer looking over that shoulder. weird how that works.
