Lebron in the NFL

just saw a little segment on sportscenter. i personally would love to see it, think he would have to gain a few pounds and learn the schemes which might take a minute. i think he'd be pretty good if he caught on/didn't get hurt. what do you all think?

ya he would probably be a decent receiver but compared to how good he is a basketball he would just look stupid

if he had chosen football instead of basketball he could easily be an all-pro tight end, defensive end (if he is mean enough), or left-tackle (if he put on some weight)

Yea, he would be the best wide out the brown's have seen in decades...until he hyperextends a knee or has a career ending injury. He will play football, it's just hype because mangini said he would offer him a spot.

yea exactly, he has the physical talents to be amazing. but like said before there is no way he would stand out as much as he does in basketball

he was twice all ohio (so,jr) as a receiver in hs. he didn't play his senior year because of basketball. antonio gates didn't play football in college, just high school.

yes, i strongly doubt lebron would give up dominating the nba to perhaps struggle in the nfl.

I'm not saying Lebron should, or will go to the NFL. However, I seen him catch a few passes off a few routes and that shit looked mad natural.

there is no way he is fast enough to be a wide out. Lebron is 6-8 250 compared to Chad Ochocinco, the black mexican, who is 6-1 190. You don't even need to be tall to be a good wide receiver, just quick and have sure hands, and I think Lebron has way to much weight to be quick enough to be a wide out. He would need to be in a more physical role like TE or DE, or DB. maybe just make him a QB because it would be pretty hard to bring that guy down for sure. \

never gonna happen but it would be interesting to see him try.

There's no doubt in my mind he would be a star in the NFL. He would have to get in football shape and put on about 20 pounds, but he would be unstoppable. Imagine a corner or safety trying to tackle the dude? Imagine an offensive tackle trying to stop him from cutting around the corner for a sack. He has an absurd combination of size, strength and speed that would dominate the NFL.

Tight end maybe, but defensive end or offensive line are you kidding me??? he is a born wide out, he's 6 foot 8 inches, a wingspan of 7 feet and a quarter inch, and a vertical of 44 inches( did me a lil research http://www.hoopsvibe.com/nba-blog/the-dunk-contest-kobe-bryant-lebron-james-dwyane-wade-and-more----ar24394.html) all while being give or take a few, 250 pounds and being able to run a 4.40 40 yard dash the same as one of the fastest backs reggie bush... there is no question after maybe a year of re-learning routes and getting up to NFL speed he would completely dominate any Defensive end in the game.. put it to perspective devin hester runs a 4.25 which is one of the fastest in the league....
