Hellbent pregunta (pregunta is spanish for question)

I'm 6'2", about 160 lbs, and I'm skiing Whistler this year. Looking at some 'bents. 179 or 189? At first i was thinking 189, but I will probably be skiing a lot of tree pow this year, so the shorter ski would be chill.

Whatchu think?

same size as you and I ride 189s centered. They're not that huge when you're actually on them

If you are always riding forward, there is no reason to have a shorter than 190(189 bents are 194s) rockered pow ski IMO.  Much more stable and fun.  However, if you are always riding forward(or even just most of the time) then I would get 195 S7s, 193 EHPs, 190 or 198 Lotus 120s, 192 or 202 Lotus 138s(Lotuses are expensive though, same with Lhasa Pows which will pown too).  They will be much better than Hellbents, which are heavy dead skis IMO.  If you are set on the Hellbent shape, then maby look into One Lifes/LL2s?  2lbs lighter a pair, still turn on a dime, lower tip projectile angle w/more rocker(tip sticks out straighter, so it will slice through crud better) and they are stiffer!

id go 179. skied my 189 seths at whis on saturday and they are a bitch to move around in the trees. i have skied 189 hellbents before and they dont really like to turn that much. very high swing weight. im 6' 225 fwiw. also the 179 also measures out to be a like 183 in reality. k2 is wierd like that.

I'm 6'2 and 170. Not that much difference.

I would buy longer hellbents if they made them I have 189s, and I love them. They are amazing. Super maneuverable, way stable. Once you center mount them (Don't mount them anywhere but center or very close to it) you are standing so far over the tip they don't feel that big. Trust me. Get 189.

yeah but the hellbents have a lot more rocker so they are easier to pivot...go 189

Also, if you are looking at the Hellbents, i would also suggest you look at the ON3P caylor. It's very similar, slightly stiffer, but worlds more stable.

I demo'ed the hellbents in 189 and they were a little tough to turn but im only 5 11 170pds.....

I am 6'3 and 195, i ride the hellbents and love them they are wicket in tree and have a really short turning radius

If you are looking for a ski like the hellbent, you won't like that ski. It skis nothing like the hellbent.

Oh wait, new lifes. missed that. Either way, it's way stiffer than the hellbent and not as solid, from what I have felt. I wouldn't get that over the hellbent.

189 for sure! Its hard to find skis long enough. For those of you who have them, where did you mount them? +7.5 is core, but is true center further forward than that?

im 175 pounds and im 5 10" (not fat btw). anyways i got 179, wish i got 189's though. i would get the 189 if i were you and if you think you can control them.
