this is what happend to my trouble makers, the first day i rode them i broke all 4 edges and ripped an inch of edge out, right after that i sent them to dynastar and they refused warrenty.. a good ski if your not into grinding
I dont understand this...what are you kids skiing on. I can honestly say that I hit rails on a regular basis and ski over rocks and genuinely beat the shit out of my gear. Almost every season I have to buy new skis halfway through the season because my shit is busted, but my TMs are fine...What are all you skiing on???
I hate girls in COWBOY HATS...
i live in steamboat and ski EVERY day and hit rails EVERY day. that thing on the tip of my ski was originally where my edge got a little dented in, then broke, then got pulled out with half of my base. i have the '04 k2 public enemies now and have been skiing on them for about a month and they still look brand new. i also know at least 4 other people with broken troublemakers. one of my friends is skiing on troublemakers that have the edges held in with duct tape.
I will tell you honestly that TM edges do rip out a lot...but so do the edges of any ski. The reason that TM's ski so well is that the edge and base are softer than almost any ski, and this softeness is also the reason that they turn like butta. So make the sacrifice and keep one pair of T-M's to use for pipe and comps and get a shitty pair of skis to hack around on in the park.

all skis have their own problems. K2's have the bindings rip out a lot, TM's have the edges rip out, armada has a crappy top sheet, salomon has foam core that dies in half a season ect... my point is that your going to have problems no matter what, so why waste energy whining about it?
Titanya: But Duff Man, you said if I slept with you I wouldn't have to touch the drink!
Duff Man: Duff Man... says a lot of things! Oh, yeah!
honestly, how the hell did he do that much damage in one day? and please don't respond with the usual 'he rips' answer. I mean it shouldn't even be possible to do that to skis in less than a week give or take.
---------------------------------------------------------
Me: So you like the big powder hits?
why would a company warantee rail damage? if you knew how to slide a rail properly your shit wouldn't get fucked up! so armada and 4frnt would warantee that eh? well when they go out of business for covering customer faults i will laugh very hard!

what the fuck are you talking about, 'if you knew how to slide a rail properly your shit wouldn't get fucked up.' are you saying my skis fell apart because i can't slide a rail right? have you ever slid a rail in your life?
what the fuck kind of rails are you guys sliding? i slide a ton of rails just about every day and my bases/edges/sidewalls are perfectly intact (they're 4frnts by the way nca777) and i weigh 190 lbs. it literally hurts to see those pictures though
yeah i have actually and the only damage to my skis has been a filthy base and dull edges. try sliding a rail with flat bases!

i skiied salomon 1080's for the most part this season and part of last season, hit rails every run of every 60 days i skiied this year. my edges are cracked, they have been all season, but not one has ripped out, not one has dented into the base. so maybe all of salomon's profits from their skis arent going directly to the race dept.? yeah i know the core is shot, i think actually snapped, but they still ski better than any other twin tip i have tried except PE's and 4FRNTs, and i have skiied everything from this year except the atomic stomps, little big fats, ARV's and motherships
apparnetly you haven't slid a rail because both of your feet shouldn't be flat. you back foot should be flat, but not your front foot. you would have to be sliding the rail with a 3 inch wide stance to have both skis flat. you most look like a real fag trying to slide a rail with a 3 inch wide stance.
who cares if the edges fall out, the only time it will suck is on ice... and once the edges are gone they are soooo much better on rails.
and to aclsarescary... why are you so supportive of new trendy companies... you ride MADTRIX!!??? that is a head ski last i checked... dont dis people for skiing race based companies... i work for rossi and have never raced a day in my life. that dosent mean i support racing,
Henry, the fact of the matter is that you don't deserve trouble makers. In fact, you don't even deserve the trouble maker icon which you still have despite all your shit-talking. You should probably quit skiing entirely.

I got these 2 cheeseburgers man, they some double cheeseburgers.
seriously if youre smooth on rails, you wont have a problem. i do TONS of rails on my TMs and they are perfect still.
and youre saying buy skis from companies from armada? all you ever hear about armadas is about them falling apart
Liam, the REAL fact of the matter is that you're a dumbass. In fact, i never talked shit about the skis which i still ride despite their broken edges. I even went as far to say that they are good skis.
YOU EVEN SAID IT YOURSELF!, you said the edges do rip out alot!
as far as me deserving the skis or not, thats my decision, not yours, but you're right about the icon, i totaly deserve something better, hows this?
----------------
liam told me i should quit skiing
I love how everyone here slides rails and expects their skis to just take it. For fucks sake they were designed to ride snow. A true 'Rail' ski wouldn't have edges, and most likly a different material for the base all together. I love hitting rails, and I know that doing so has a bad effect on my skis. If you are going to slide rails stop bitching about your edges ripping out, or cracking, just realize that this shit's gonna happen or quit you whining pussies, our sport is better without you.

if anyone comes away form anything with this thread, its that Dynastar sucks. I ride Line, now im not going to go off ona rant about how Line is better, but i have returned 2 pairs of Lines because of blown out sidewalls from grinding and have gotten them warranteed. Dynastar is a dick for doing that to Henry. Line seems a little more lenitent, i dunno, Line's skis are known for breaking, but ive gotten 4 new pairs off of a warranty from the first pair i bought. And if Dynastar doesnt want to warrant skis for grinding, they cant ever have an add with a skier grinding, as their adds promote what to do on the skis.
anyone who thinks you won't fuck up your skis if you slide rails lightly on your feet is a dumbass. i am not complaining about the damage because i know that when i slide rails, i am doing that damage myself. all me and henry are saying is that the edges come out on TMs real easy, and keep that in mind when you are going to buy them.
ya know that metal part on the bottom of the tip of the ski, that broke off of my friends ski. seems kinda odd. he doesn't ski switch much either. dynastar replaced them though which was cool.
they say i got stupid when i hit my head
HAHAHAHAHA, Henry you are so clever! Believe it or not, I don't really think that you should quit skiing and I hope that you have a long and successful ski career. In fact, I have no animosity toward you at all; I merely noticed that a thread entitled 'DON'T BUY DYNASTARS, HERE'S WHY' was on top of the forum once again. Since Dynastar sends me cool places and gives me lots of really nifty stuff, I felt obligated to make a joke on your behalf. Clearly I offended you and I hope that you will accept my apology. Best of luck finding some better skis, and I hope that you are successful in your campaign against Dynastar.

I honestly don't understand this. Isn't the definion of insanity doing the same thing over and over expecting a different result? Well, then couldn't you also call it: watching other people fuck up their skis doing rails, sliding rails yourself, fucking up your skis, then bitching about it? You're sliding on damn metal. You're getting what you deserve. If you hate Dyna's so much, then get a ski from a company that offers more than a 1 year warranty. Oh wait, that won't work because the only 2 companies that do that are Rossi and Atomic, 2 other 'evil' 'race driven' companies.
^You can add 4frnt to that list. Next time fact-check before posting.

geeze...I have a pair of dynastar race skis which I dislike with a passion cause they won't seem to break, and I need new skis...I've skied incredibly hard on them too. Basically, Dynastar might have had a 'flaw' in their TMs this season, but you also have to recognize that their warranty doesn't cover damage done by rails, so you risk breaking your skis by skiing off the snow.
Although he might have been joking, Liam's comments didn't help skiing much. To be told by a pro skier that you should quit skiing might be detrimental to a guy who looks up to pro atheletes. It might have been a joke but that wasn't very cool.
