I have a new sleep pattern

my schedule

sleep at 4 pm,
wake up at around 12 pm,
do homework and whatever i want till 7 am
go to school till 3 pm,
come home and go to sleep again at 4 pm.

total sleeping hours: about 9
total waking hours: about 15

common schedule

sleep at 10 pm,
wake up around 6 am,
go to school till 3 pm
get home and do work and eventually sleep at 10 pm.

total sleeping hours: about 9
total waking hours: about 15

it works out. im in my senior year in high school so i feel like doing dumb shit like this. questions, comments, concerns?

this would be an awesome idea except for the fact that so much of your high school career is based on social interaction, and with that kind of a sleep pattern i foresee you missing out on a lot of things...

I'd definitely do that.
But I work and do stuff with my parents etc.

I'm in my HS Senior year as well.

Do you not have friends? In high school i usually liked the afternoon time to hang out with my friends and do activites. I feel like being awake all night you'll just sit at home? Also, how are you tired enough to sleep straight from 4-12? i can barely go to sleep at 1am most nights.

the only problem is getting your friends to change their sleep/awake schedule too unless you want to spend your spare time without them

im on a similar schedule because i work graveyards 4 days a week.. i think its sick to stay up all night and do my homework tho.. less distractions.. how long have you been doing this??

well i go to an international school and its hard as fuck at the moment so i adopted the schedule to focus on school. not hanging with friends was sort of the point. it also helps with work. i dj alot of clubs on the weekend and i find it alot easier to play well when im on this schedule. i cant get money and get paid if im getting tired at the end of a set. and im tired from going on morning rides with my team at like 4 every other day. i dunno, it works out.

Yeah, I've heard of that one.. It's where you sleep for about 2 hours a day but feel more refreshed than if you slept for the normal 8 hours.
You will have to do a powernap for 20 minutes every 4 hours.
It's really interresting but I don't think I could manage to do it.

Heres mine, its interesting:

Sleep from 1am to 10am
Work from 10am to midnight
Work from midnight to 10am
1 hour nap
Work from 11am to 1am the next day

Repeat

10 hours sleep, 38 awake and working.

my friend would play video games and do homework all night, get like 3 hours of sleep before school, come home, nap till like 9 or 10, then do it all over again

i see a problem here... big projects

what happens if you don't get it done before school starts the day that it is due?
if you had the normal schedule, you could just stay up later to get it done. you dont know how long a project could take, so you run the chance of not being able to finish it before school begins.

i dont usually procrastinate on large projects, and have spent a long time on the last night many times. then again, i tend to try perfecting everything that last day and that takes longer than it should.

my friend does this because he is so tired from football after school. he gets home at 7 and goes to bed, wakes up at 3 and does his hw till 7 when school starts. you focus better at 3 in the morning since there is nothing to get distracted by and you arent as tired for some reason since you already got some sleep in you

That's pretty awesome

Mine (college senior):

Sunday or Monday: All nighter, finish homework that has built up/study for test/get shit done for the next week. Four of my roommates do this too. Late Night Crew for life.
Tuesday: class 10:30 - 4:30 stay awake with the help of adderall till around 2am
Wed: Wake up at 9:30, class and internship from 11:30-8:30, study a bit then party till 2 or 3am
Thurs: Wake up at noon, only class from 2:30-4:00, study early evening, party till 2ish
Friday: Up at 10, hungover, quiz section at 10:30, class I never go to 12:30-1:20, party
Sat: Up in time for football games. Shenanigans all afternoon and night. Sleep between 12 and 4 depending on how the night goes.
Sunday: Sleep as late as possible to make up for abuse dealt to body during the week

Stipulations: All nighters before tests have become a tradition

This is gonna change a lot now that ski season has started...

its creative, but dumb, id rather go to sleep at like 8 and wake up at 5 or what not, your  killing any social activity and when the fuck do you go to stores and shit or go to hang with your non-existent friends? i know you live in bangcock or something, but this seems like a waste of time, 12-7am is the most boring fucking time ever, nothing ever happens
