How long did it take you to get sick at rails?

Alright so last year was my first season I learned a 360 on jumps and sliding rails without extra tricks.  I built a rail up north this summer and learned a frontside 270 out.  This year I plan to work really hard at getting good at rails.  I want to be able to do 270s out both ways, backside and frontside switchups, and 270s on.  I have a few questions for all of you guys that are sick at rails.

How long did it take you to get good at rails or learn the tricks I posted above?

I'm not very good at just going unnatural on, but will unnatural be easier when I am doing a switchup, 270 on or switch on?

Dumb question, but did you have alot of really bad falls?

DingoSean and I had a conversation about this last night and we agreed that we both get fun out of rails and boxes without having to do 5 billion switchups and all the 270s. I think a steezy nose or tail press looks a lot better IMO and it's slightly more creative then doing a few pirouettes on a rail. Just go with your natural progression and don't worry too much about what NS is doing. Do what you think is sick and not what tends to be NS's subjective view is. (I think I put too much thought into a rail thread.)

7 days was when i did my first front switch up and started doing moderate rails
rollerblading is a big help
