DrDerek failed so ill counter your weak ass points.
"While you may that think that method isn't humane, hell even I don't sometimes, it's still all the animal has ever known"
so, what youre saying is that its cool for a cow to grow to maturity in a shitty ass environment getting pumped full of hormones and being fed god know what just to be shot in the head anyways as long as "it's still all the animal has ever known"
and you also went as far as to say
"killing an animal just minding his own business worried about his actual predators. Like a bear or some other animal higher on the food chain. Not some mind-blowing metal lightening bolt searing through his heart at any moment of the day."
so, youre totally againt a wildlife animal living out its life in the wilderness eating only what is natural and being free untill it is killed so fast it never even knows what hit it? its not like being shot is even a bad way to go as far as a deer is concerned. they could be shot and die in 5 seconds or be ripped apart by wolves and lay there as they are being eaten.
and yes, there is an adrenaline rush when you shoot a deer, but thats not why people hunt. If deer werent edible, people would not hunt them. you can pull this bullshit "oh you just look for the adrenaline rush and use the meat as an excuse" but youre entirely wrong. its the complete opposite. we hunt for the meat, the rush is just a side effect that happens when you kill something.
so enjoy your synthetic inhumanely raised beef, i dont give a fuck what you do, just dont fucking try to tell me off on something you have absolutely no understanding of whatsoever.
good day sir.
read my post, then stop replying to this thread.
thank you
Fuck you! You ignorant fuck. Take this and smoke it. I have been elk hunting with my bow for 5 years. I have never gotten one. Yet I keep on trying. So you can't tell me its because I have some sick pleasure about killing animals. I have gotten a deer before. Sure its an adrenaline rush, that can be expected when your taking somethings life. I dont feel happy about it, infact I feel a deep sense of respect for the animal that I took, I feel bad when I take one, but then I remember that that wild animal got to live a great life. Its not that I want to watch it suffer. You are completely ignorant.
way to read the thread dumbass. i just so happened to have posted this, but hey, you probably missed it becuase you were balls deep in your salad. (go ahead, tell me that statement somehow discredits my arguement because thats all you can come up with.)
take the time to read it

good day sir.
not true, well yes in many cases. However, I know plenty of people that hunt with wooden bows that dont cost much. new mayby 200 (for a lower end bow) with arrows. I also know people that make their own bows and arrows. I have done this too actually. That is completely free. Now lets go back to the 200$ set up. Imagine this, You can harvest X ammount of deer for only your base price of 200$. Now think of this, 1 deer, 75lbs of meat. How much would it cost to buy 75lbs of steak at the store. (probably a shit ton of money)
Well you gotta buy tags and a license, 20$ your still saving a ton of money in the long run.
Dont get me wrong tho, hunting equipment can be hella expensive. But if you want to do it on the cheap, that can be done too. I didn't even say that you could borrow your gear.
Wrong again, sure a ton of people hunt for the trophy. So what.
The buck I got last year was a 1x1. Am I a trophy hunter. Lol NO.
Ya sorry my bad. How about 25 lbs of steak, 30 lbs of roasts, 20lbs of burger for example. Still very expensive.
What do you mean a rifle is a small part? I covered tags and licenses also in my reply. Last time I hunted which was yesterday, that was all I needed. Alright some thrift store camo (3$)
Sure if your going to make a trip out of it it will cost a lot. Half the people I know that hunt, leave their back porch in the morning and head in to the woods. So cost there.
regarding #1, i never said you did, but thats a valid reason why people choose to hunt for wild game.
regarding #2, you inferred that an animal should be fearful of its natural predators, none of which happen to have guns, therefore, being shot is just about the best way to go as far as an animal is concerned. which brings up another point, i dont know how you feel about this and am in no way trying to "counter arguments you never made" but say perhaps a wild animal lives to its life expectancy. an animal that dies of old age in the wilderness dies one of the most painful deaths possible. this usually means starving untill it is no longer able to fend for its self when it is then mercilously eaten by whatever carnivore happens to stumble upon it. this is where the educated, intelligent hunter comes into play. hunters who are in it for more than the thrill, know to target the old, genetically infirior animals that are as useless to the population as possible. this actually strenghtens the remaining population by increasing the avalibility of essentials for whatever species you choose.
and most importantly, regarding #3, yes, there are assholes who do stupid shit and ruin things for everyone else. that could easily be one or two fucked up people who do it just for the thrill and fuck over the reputation of the entire group. honestly, would it be ok to say that just because some black individuals stole a television from my neighbors home that all black people go around stealing televisions? really, come on, did you just try to pull that?
and yes #3 needs to be in bold
Under 18 still. I would think Alaska, but don't bash me if I am wrong, just a guess.
Don't forget about all the things you can hunt with out tags! Plenty of birds are on that list, rabbit etc.
+1 man, so many people don't understand what it is like. Imagine this you anti hunters. You are freezing your butt off and its pitch black out. Your sitting on top of a mountain in the rockies. The sun comes up and warms you , you hear the woods become alive. You just sit there for a few hours in the most relaxing way possible. Nothing distracting you, you can take a nap if you want. You are litterely just chillin there. In the mountains. 50 miles away from any town. At night in your tent you hear elk bugling, and coyotes talking to eachother. It sounds so dumb when I try to describe it, but it is amazing.
your is not the same as you're
might want to check your posts before you criticize mine.
btw my post has less errors than the material i quoted in it.
also, what does you supporting hunting have to do with anything? i still disagree with you.
You guessed right, I hunt right out of my back yard. Well I hike in a mile or two, but yes right there. After I shoot it, I gut it, quarter it. Brang it home, than we skin it, and cut out all the meat. We put all the steaks, roasts, and heart in the freezer, the rest we either smoke, or make burger out of.
We do it on the cheap bro. And yes I do eat the heart, no joke.
out of my back yard*
Jea man you got the right Idea. Everyone is getting off the point of it. Humans hunt. DONEEEE
