Pomegranates

god damn
I just had my first real pomegrante this year, and it was fucking delicious. it also never ended. I enjoyed it, and there seemed to always be more and more

only thing is that messy as fuck
I looked like i murdered someone after i ate it.

You gotta have three bowls man, one to hold the spare half, one to put the white bits and one to put the extracted seeds. And maybe one to fill with water to dip and clean your fingers.

heres whatcha do:

you will need a:

Sharp Knife
Strainer
Wooden Spoon
Pomegranate

Step 1:

Cut the pomegranate in half vertically with your sharp knife

Step 2:

Take one half of the pomegranate and put it in your hand with the skin facing up

Step 3:

Take the wooden spoon and smack the skin of it really fucking hard. the seeds will begin to fall out. make sure they land in the strainer.

Step 4:

Wash the seeds in the strainer. there is no need to try to pick out any of that white shit, it wont fall out.

Step 5:

Throw away the skin

Step 6:

Enjoy.

yuck the first time i had one someone handed me the whole fruit and i took a huge bite out of it. shit tastes like crayons and i cant look at them right anymore.

If you have a sink

Fill the sink with enough water so that you can sink a bowl in it.

Score the Pom. skin (quarters or half w.e.)

gently pull the beast apart over your underwater bowl.

very gently work your fingers though it.

The yellowish in between stuff will float while the seeds will fall into your bowl.

Only takes a minute or two of kneeding to get through one with minimum seed loss and little to no mess.

Just take a strainer or something and skim the yellow shit off the top

1. cut it into 4 pieces

2. pull all seeds out

3. put in strainer

4. rinse with cold water and ice

5. put seeds into a paper towel

6. dry off

7. put in bowl

and tada u have ice cold amazing fresh seeds!

i think it's fun to have to peel them apart and mine for the seeds.

Last time I had a Pomegranate was in high school..  The hassle of the fruit for me at least was NOT worth it.  Of course, I am a Panda and am a lazy fuck so, take my word with a little bit of leniency.

Holy tits I love them. I don't know if anyone said it but its best to cut them with newspaper under it so it doesn't stain anything. Now I wanna go eat one
