I am trying to decide weather to get one of the following
ford f150 fx4
ford f150 raptor
nissan titan (4x4 model)
subaru wrx sti

I live in malibu califounia, I am 17 and i am probably going to go to school in CO, i was just wondering what the best choice would be

Get the fucking F 150 Raptor!  Its the new Lightning basically, thing is going to haul fucking ass.  I don't think its quite as ridiculous as the Lightning actually but still that thing is probably going to be beast.  Also I assume your parents are buying this for you so why not get the most expensive one? And when you inevitably get in a horrible accident you'll be less likely to die in a giant truck.

Also if you are going to get an STI, do yourself a favor and get an Evo instead.  5 years ago I would have taken the STI but these days the Evo is just better.  WRXs look stupid now too, they look like fucking Corollas.

LISTEN, Nobdy on here has a clue...dont get a stupid Suby, get the F150 Raptor. It will hold up better than any of the other trucks, it looks fucking sweet, it is gnarly off roading and racing, and it will hold its value much better than any base pickup, and the interior is sweet. Def the best option

Siick! All about the 2nd generations, right now I've got a 92 SR5 that runs great with 350k and just bought a mint 94 SR5 limited. Such amazing trucks if you catch the head gasket problems early.

Don't get a Subaru, so many people have them, i would say get a black Titan, lift it like 3 inches and black it out and put 35" tires on it. They look super clean and are super nice off road. Or if you're looking for a REAL awd car, get a Mitsubishi EVO MR, they're only  like a grand or two more than an sti i think. And if you can find a clean (unmodified) evo 8-9, those are prime cars as well.

Could you please explain to me why the raptor is going to hold up better than anything else? Its a brand new truck you have no idea. IMO f150s are ugly, f250/350s look pretty clean but I would never buy one of those either (To many reasons to list). Get a dodge just for the cummins, that is what will outlast any of the others.

And to everyone who is saying an STI is going to pull tail...what are you talking about?

out of those id get an sti for sure, if you want a truck, just dont get one, dont be one of those tools who owns a big ass truck and doesnt actually use it.  get an suv, like a landcruiser.

those people saying the sti is too much to handle are dumb. its fast, not crazy fast, but its awd, understeers, stable at high speeds, has great brakes etc... id much rather be in a shitty situation in an sti than a truck.

but if your looking at an sti, i assume your one of those kids that buys one because every other skier/snowboarder drives one thats all stickered out with grenade stickers and shit. and cause ken block rallies one and he's totally cool.  its not a rally car and its played as fuck.  its becoming the new mustang, but like for mountain kids. everyone who wants a sports car but doesnt really know much about cars wants one. cause its the first thing that comes to mind when they think sports car.  BUT its still pretty sweet.

the only thing is that i have no idea why anyone would choose one over an evo. other than its the popular car to have if you wanna look cool.  the evo is what the sti wishes it could be. coming from someone who has driven both, the evo is WAY better.  theres a reason why evo's outnumber impreza's like crazy for rallies in europe.

For sure, its like 30 or 40gs new. Plus if i was gonna go all out and longtravel a truck, the last thing i would do is buy factory. I would trust the reputed aftermarket companies that actually use their shit to race everyday to buy my suspension kits and components from.

But to the topic at hand, the suby is gonna be a hell of a lot of fun but a truck has a lot of practicality to it... just go out and test drive what you're looking at and pay attention to the little stuff not just how fast it goes when you stomp on it going down the road... look at the fit and finish of the interior, see if anything looks/feels cheap or like they skimped out at the factory, stuff like that... just take your time with em and you ll be able to decide what you really want
