Im not going to lie, but this article is extremely biased towards atheisim. This italian "scientist" could easily be saying that he made a exact replica of the shroud and pay off tons of important people to contact the gullible reporters. Im mean seriously, heres a passage form the article- "Garlaschelli received funding for his work by an Italian association of atheists and agnostics but said it had no effect on his results."
Thats bull. If the scientists doing the experiment and the people funding it are atheists, then of course they are not going to say that the shroud is real. All though the scientists claim that they reproduced a replica of the shroud, how does that make the original a fake? Of course Scientists don't know exactly how people was buried 2000 years ago, so how would they know what chemicals/embalming solutions were used to preserve the body of Jesus christ?
Sorry for this rant,I could dispute stuff like this all day, but If an experiment such as this is done, it should not be considered credible. I mean everyone that backed this up was Atheist! If they were smart they would have had half of the scientists be atheists and half believers, kind of like a jury in a court system. Also, as it said that the experiment was funded by atheists, some extremely rich italian non-believer could easily pay off the scientists and other officials to tell the media its a fake. Just my two cents. Also, I dont think that people who have never read the bible or done any research on Christianity should say anything about it. I know that there are alot of people that just "go with the flow" by saying that christians are stupid just because other people say that. That doesn't make much sense, If you have hard evidence on Jesus Christ never living, then you should be able to say that you dont think christians beliefs are right, but if you are not educated about the bible or anything to do with Jesus christ, why say anything?
I mean, you dont see christians going around putting down people that dont believe in god...
