I think Skate 1 had more memorable skate spots, but overall I enjoy the gameplay of Skate 2 better.

i like skate 2 more than skate 1, you do flip tricks way faster in skate one and you look less smooth on airs

I like the mega ramps better in the first because of the doubles you can do. I also like some of the spots in 1 better. Overall, I like 2 better, mostly because the trick motions look better.

Im gonna buy either skate or skate 2 soon so which one should i get? Seems in this thread, most people like 2, but i heard alot of people enjoy skate more. Buying skate saves me money too, which is always a plus. opinions?

I was in the same place as you a few months ago, I went with skate 1 just because I got a massive discount on it. Having never played 2 I couldn't comment on what I prefer though

I've had skate 1 for almost 2 years and I still find new spots to sesh every now and then.
I just like the overall feel and look of skate 1 over skate 2.

I would say Skate 2 because of all the new features. Skate 1 was awesome, but you don't notice how awesome it is untill you get Skate 2.. if you dont have both games, you are gonna yearn for more when playing skate 1.. especially the walking feature.

My biggest gripe with skate1 is that there are some sick spots that have stairs leading up to them and they are such a BITCH to get to cause you can't walk.
