Strapping helmets on knees

I saw some snowboarders doing this, but I can't  seem to keep the helmet on it. It keeps slipping off.

Does it work? or was I just tripping?

Yeah I got 5 helmets. One for each elbow, and knee. Then one to wear on my head when I feel like it.

first off im high and this is fucking difficult to read/do. but why would you do this, its fucking dumb as shit, you fall onto your knee while doing it, and you'''shatter above and below it cause the helmet.

I attach mine to a carabiner in my jacket that I placed there specifically for that purpose.

I think he is referring to putting the helmet around your knee when you are not skiing... maybe when youre inside or in the lift line etc.

this only works when your jacket/sweatshirt doesn't hang over it (could be a bigger problem with people and tall ts). If im inside I do this... outside attached to my jacket.

And he is talking about when you are getting food or hanging out on the deck or walking to the mountain and such.

not if your jacket is super baggy, and you pants a sagged super low, and also with the added weight of the helmet it usually sags that side of the pant even lower so it tends to stay below any jacket, sweatshit or t-shirt.

What is the point of wearing ski pants that sag that much? And wouldn't that look funny.... really baggy pants and then a gap big enough (even with your really baggy jacket) that your helmet wouldn't awkwardly protrude out?

Maybe it works for you, but the mental image I'm getting is quite ridiculous.

If is wasn't so hot right now i would be tempted to get all my stuff on just to take a pic and show you.

But no, the pants are sagged the loop that is connected at the back (usually right hand side) is even lower the helmet is clipped on with the helmet strap so that it then goes even lower (6 maybe more inches) and then the jacket is overtop of that. Unless your tall T is literally below your knees then it won't affect it cuz the helmet is generally at or just below knee hight.

when i'm not wearing my helmet i hook it into a Carabiner that i have hooked to my belt loop. also can use it for gloves too if i dont wanna carry em when i find a table or walk around the lodge.

I guess i could work. maybe its cause I have a small head, my helmet doesn't hang low at all which is why I have to put hang it on my jacket cause its really awkward when I go to put my jacket on and its hanging off my belt loop. At the same time, my jacket fits pretty tight to my pants when I wear it cause it usually means powder and therefor powder skirt and then that hooks onto the pants.... so yeah, weird helmet bulge = awkward
