What am i going to do without SNUS?

I am living in Norway right now.  I used to smoke about a pack a day. I have quit smoking but now i snus about 1 can every 3-4 days (not that much). I feel so much better physically since i quit smoking smoking. Too bad snus is not sold in the US.

Anyone else snus?

for those of you that done know what snus is, it is pretty much spitless chewing tobacco.

The only Snus I know that is sold in the US is camel and it is nothing like "real" Snus. You can still order it online, I believe through general's website.

Or have someone from Norway send it to you.

If you really like it that much why not just buy a large quantity and bring it back to the states? Call up customs first to see if you can do this, if you can't just don't declare that shit.

something about the way it's cured (i believe snus is steamed while dip is fired/smoked) makes snus much safer (don't get me wrong, it doesn't make you healthier) than dip. the "nitrosamines" are what's so bad about dip, while snus contains much lower percentages, so even swallowing snus juice isn't as bad as dipping. that doesn't mean you 14 year olds who want to look cool should try it, but if you're hooked on tobacco and need a bit safer fix, snus is definitely better than smoking or dipping/chewing.

the onset of pancreatic cancer is much quicker and much more deadly than oral sores or oral cancer.  Obviously neither is safe.

There are several differnt types of snus. Cope is considered wet snuff. snuff is not the same as snus. it is used the same way you would use skoal or Kodiak. Sweds use dry snus. it is pasturised and thats what makes the spit safe to swallow. snus is safer than dip. its pasturized and is not put into your blood stream by fiberglass. it is ubzorbed by your mouth so the effects are a lot less than dip.  in fact snus is less harmfull than dip, but it doesnt mean you wont get cancer. snus doesnt tear up my lip like dip does. my lip feels like a big piece of scar tissue from doing dip.

this. snus is a lot safer than dip. but to answer your question, only a few places here in the states carry actual swedish snus, just gotta do your research.

There are a few places you can get it on line. some high end tobacco shops can get it for you. they will usualy custom order it for you. the real stuff is hard to find but with a little searching it can be found.

its all fun and games until you come across some late season bumps and you accidentally swallow some spit. i was on a chair once with some guys that i got put on a chair with. it was a little windy. guy A went tried to spit. the wind caught it and it went right into guy B's face. made a really gross slapping noise when it hit his face.
