Afghanistan

today i sent a box of food to my brother who is fighting in afghanistan for our country. he has lost 15 pounds cause they dont feed them enough. i sent him jerky and cheese and crackers, even a spider web and a fake spider to hang in his tent for festivities even though he cant spend the holidays with us. i feel so bad. we sit on the computer all day talking about what new shoes we got or what kind of skis we have this year while half of our men and women are sitting in the ass hole of the world not knowing if they are going to live to see their family again.

sad.

does anyone else have family overseas?

have two friends in the marines out there and one in the SEALs.  this summer, sent them all care packages.  4 cans of dip, 8 porn mags, bottle of ripped fuel, and some dirty letters in each of them.

its cause its always one of three things when i get a chance to talk about them.  they ALWAYS bitch and its about not enough dip, not enough new pictures to jerk it to, or they cant stay awake long enough.

the majority of NS is so liberal that i kinda doubt many people have siblings in the service or even know anyone in the military.

and the Hustler thing, i know from experience.  i sent a playboy and this was the response i got.

"greg, playboys are nice, you see some semi celebrities naked which is EPIC.  BUT, there are too many articles.  if i wanted articles id ask for a time magazine or some shit.  send hustler, i want pics of girls doing bad things to themselves."

two buddies of mine that are in the marines are still there for another 4 months.  the SEAL friend is out for another 8.  two other friends in the Rangers are shipping out soon.  and i have another friend in the 101st shipping out soon as well.

i would love to join the Marines or any other form of the military.  i cant though.  one, im overweight and they could probably never find me a uniform.  two, my left leg is 3/8 of an inch shorter than my right and i have horrible eyesight...

yea, my eyesight is so bad. im not sure weather if i do join to go through the acad and become an officer or just join up in the good ol fashioned calvery. some of the people scare me tho, just seeing the videos on youtube and in the news some people shouldnt be in the armed forces with a gun.

My dad was in the first gulf war when i was very young, but he was a pilot and based out of the action and flew overhead to refuel jets in the air, i didnt know what was going on cause i was so small but yeah.

I hate to be THAT guy... but it is his choice, and everyone elses choice who go to war. I completely respect him, and i feel bad for him and your family since you are separated, but he wasn't forced to sit in the asshole of the world, and he wasnt forced to think about life or death and have skis and shoes be his last priority.

I live about 30 mins from the sandbox (US navy base) and i see the us navy guys come through here often, word gets round pretty quick when the navy are in here, infact my mate just told me he saw a load of the navy guys from one of the ships in a mall recently, could of been him!

i like this idea... one of my closest friends that i met working park crew at my local mountain last year just left for afghanistan. and another one of my best friends from high school leaves october 13th.

my bro is coming back for a couple of weeks.

im pretty excited yet sad cause after his leave he wont see me again for 2 years. its kinda funny that he is in the army and our last name is rambo. he gots lotsa people to ask for pictures with him.

MY cousin (like a brother) just got back from ghan, its nerve racking wondering how there doing.  I When i'm old enough ( if where still there of course) i'll hopefully be able to join them.

my mom went to iraq to be on a FFST with the 4th I.D., we used to send her mad shit, like these huge fucking boxes, filled with all kinds of shit, but alot of them never got there, so we would send like 4 or 5 boxes filled with all the same shit, and each one had copies of all the letters we wanted to send.
one time, we sent her this box of video-tapes for her and other guys in her unit to watch and we got a letter back that said
"thanks for the tapes!! i loved the effort but send DVD's next time! it was in excess of 130 Fahrenheit when they arrived, and i opened the box to find a big melted pile of plastic" 

then my cousin was stationed in iraq in well, i dunno exactly what he did or who he was attached to, but i know it has something to with tanks, because when he came back he used to always talk about how cool it was to shoot at stuff with the 105mm cannon on the bradley
packages always got to him though, and we used to send him hustlers and cheese...

this is a message i got from my dad this morning (im out at college and we quite often emaikl back and forth.  its funny, i email with him but talk on msn messenger with my mom and they arent even divorced) and my dad served in vietnam for about 2 years.

im at fort sam houston texas right now going to school to be a combat medic.  im waiting for orders to see where i go. i got two months left of school then its game time.  i hope hope hope for something over seas.  and i know its dangerous out there right now for our soldiers in afghan and still in iraq.  i hope his unit/company has great medics and cant wait for myself to get out there and help out the boys.  hooah.
