Your karma should go to zero for trying to be cool when you haven't a clue what you are talking about.  This guy could have made the decision thinking what you said was true.  Get off the site if you just want to post lame responses. 

Anyway, to the thread creator - it is a nice, thick shell, definitely not insulated.  It is plenty warm with a hoodie underneath on colder days.  And I say all this having owned it.
