oh and on a second note. if believing in god makes some peoples lives better and gives them hope. why not let them keep their faith instead of make them feel like an asshole?

I guarantee you'd rather have a "Christian Church Boy" find your wallet that you just lost as opposed to the "atheist punker kid with a cig in his mouth".

third/fourth note:

There can be moral people that do and do not believe in god. There are also immoral people that do and do not believe in god/a religion. Whatever the case the world needs more people that have good morals and (ex:) will leave a note when they run into a car in the parking lot.

overcoming societ? really? its way harder in our society to be an atheist than a christian. i tend to lean toward the agnostic side of things, but i still attend quaker meeting occasionally.

what i really want to know is, how do people blindly follow a god that they cannot know exists? i truly wish i could just believe, but i dont. do people really become faithful from an experience like the one in that video?

Haha I find this hilarious. Only within the past 30 or so years have people (IMO) began as a society to veer away from religion. Now religious people are saying they are the ones being persecuted when sane-minding, free thinking people have basically been in the dungeon for thousands of years.

Fuck religious people and their logic. Seriously, I can't believe how they think anything they say has any validity at all. I can't wait for the day that God is stricken from law books and all part of society and religious people become the pariahs. It'll be about damn time.

I have previously stated and will reiterate the point of this story being fictional.

Overcoming Society- one kid standing up in a class is a metaphor for a group standing up to society.

Imo it would be way easier to let go of all of your morals in this society. To keep up faith when the world is fucking you over is WAY harder than just saying "oh if there was a God this wouldnt have happened". Constantly being around people trying to take your beliefs away is WAY harder than being around people trying to push beliefs on you. Going through a day of being forced to sin just to get by is harder than someone who doesnt believe these things are wrong.
