Definitely the px. The nx is a lower end binding. It does not have the dildo heal piece which really holds you in good. I'm not sure if there are any problems with the nx series but the px is definitely better for your weight. You can g=find px12's for around $100.
the NX is the same as the Rossignol Axium. They are terrible.
I had them on my carving skis and im only about 145lbs myself and managed to break them. The way the brakes go flat is like some retarded double kink method or something and gets crushed and then they dont work properly.
You then have to manually pull up the binding to get them to clip in and then the bit of the break you step on sits at a 45degree angle.
Seriously get PX12s much much much better, if i weigh nothing and can break them on carving skis just putting them on and off then I would give them a week or two tops before they break on twins.
only happened to a friend of mine once, never happened to me. griffons/jesters are the binders you need to watch out for, i took a griffon to the ass and left me a gnarly bruise
oops, I've buy some NX 12 jib and mounted them on my Volkl bridge '09.. so you said that you broke your nx 12 just doing some carving ?!? damn lol I'm gonna have some good time this winter ! hope they are not going to broke..
