I have here a pair of 2005/2006 Line Elizabeths. These skis were one of the first ever Line Elizabeths produced-- and here's the kicker-- they were made in the good ol' US of A before Line moved manufacturing to China and the quality went *ahem*downhill*ahem*. So in other words they are bad-ass and bombproof-- if you don't believe me you can ask Mr. Newscholar himself, Jeff Schmuck! I bought these off of him way back when he was the BC Line Rep. The only difference other difference between these ones and the 'twigs' made in China is the texture of the topsheet (mine is matte finish as opposed to the later models which were gloss finish).
I've barely ridden them in the past two seasons, A) because I broke my arm while skiing them on some gnar line and got spooked and B) because I outgrew them. They are in great shape, the topsheet has a few scuffs and chips obviously, and there is a small impression on about two centimeters of one of the edges. The bases are mint (the gashes you see on camera are actually already repaired with a different colour wax/base material/whatever they use to do base repair... once again Schmuck did it. Haha don't mean to pin it all on him.
They are currently mounted at center with Look P12 Jibs which are in superb condition-- this is the second time the skis have been drilled. So if you're not crazy like me and don't want them at center you will have to remount. But the bindings are included here.
Looking for $270 shipped.
Also on the dockett are some 04/05 Line Chronics.. still in great, skiiable condition. Super durable ski, a little topsheet damage, no edge damage and barely any base baddies. If I could define the word bombproof with a ski, I would put my money on these. Both binding brakes are a little sketch, one wobbles (see video) and the other is a little bent. But both still do their job... Someone has claimed dibs on these.. but in case it falls through I am open to secondary offers.
Currently looking for about $100 shipped.
Okay and here come the pictures.. hope your internetz can handle it.
