Hemp Beer!?

So i was trying to deicde which beer to get for a party tomorrow and im in the mood to try something new. So while searching on my local beer stores website i came across this....

I have never heard of anything like this before, has anyone ever tried hemp beer? should i give it a go?

I've been tempted to try it for a while but never got around too it, I know that there are a few restaurants around advertising it, but I don't know if that is an indication whether it is good. If you do get it, let us know who it is.

yea i realize that, im just curious thats all.

The only reason i probably wont end up getting it is because i dont have too much money right now and i dont want to waste it on something i potentionally will not like. A while back someone convinced me that corona was the best thing next to sex and i wasted my money on a twofour because i ended up hating it lol.

there are some really great hemp beers out there, our local brewery makes one called "ye olde bongwater"  shits amazing.

nope, aha thats basically as cheap as it gets around here. Aside from promotions where you can get a twofour for $24, the cheapest is usually $28.

 Dos Equis, for example cost 40 some dollars for a twofour

i tried a couple of times some hemp beer made by small "indie" brewery here, it doesn't get you stoned but taste fairly good, with a refreshing herbal flavour :)

ive had it before, its not that great for the price
if you want a decent beer for cheap in canada i would go pabst blue ribbon i think its 28 for a 24 and it'll get you sour

Isnt Buzz Beer Drew Carey's beer company in the drew carey show?  Its a mix between beer and coffee so you stay awake drinking?  Pretty lame name steal.

im splittin with a friend and he doesnt like blue ribbon, i think were getting brava or james ready 5.5. both $28 for a twofour. now i just need to get one of my older friends to buy it for me, ahah.

I'm not sure if you can feel the hemp from the commercially brewed stuff, but I've had homemade hemp beer and I was feeling goooooooood afterwards.

I passed the beer store today and I thought of this thread... I picked up a case of 6 for 9 dollars. I just arrived home and gave it a try. It definitely isn't one of the greatest beers I have ever had but it isn't the worst. It has a really nice red color and full hops flavor. Hints of caramel and fudge. Excellent. I would almost say it had an oak brew taste. I would buy it again, but there are others I would purchase again before this one.

hahaha, i actually think that might have been it. Im not sure if you were serious or not but i opened the bottle and it literally smelled like a skunk just juiced all of its shit inside the bottle.

I am planning on brewing actual weed beer and I have a few questions. How long do you have to boil weed before the THC activates? If I just boil it in water will it come out or do I have to use some type of oil? How much weed would I need to make 5 gallons of beer?

you have to use some type of oil because the thc is fat soluble not water. so if you boil it in water pretty much nothing will happen. but you normally should simmer the weed in a frying pan for 15-30 minutes longer is always better but 15 is the minimum.
then just add as much as you think you want in it. you should experiment with baked goods before this because i have no idea what will happen in beer
