for a flat rail should the legs be at the very ends of the rail or more towards the middle?

I made a rail and put the legs about 8 inches in and it works fine. I like not having the legs at the very very start.

As long as its stable and doesn't tip when you land on it then you should be fine.

you need to have legs close to the ends or else when you get on the rail it will tip up or when you about to get off it will tilt down, it kinda depends on the length for legs in the middle

Most pieces of PVC are 10-12 feet long, use 3-4 legs placing one at each end, and then evenly spacing the last 1 or 2.

i have front middle and end... but if the wings are longer you can easily use 2.. the higher the rail the longer youll need...
