So I made a case out of Legos a little while back. I got a new processor, went to install it, no big deal. I did everything like normal. Arctic silver, etc, and I go and clamp it in, and put the heatsink on. Turn it on, and it turns on for about 4 seconds and shuts off. No beeps, no display, nothing. So I try it again, nothing. So I try my old processor. As I take off my new one, I notice a little drop of Arctic silver on my motherboard. I clean it off and try the old one. Same thing. I talk to some people at work and they said I could have either A. fried my motherboard, or B. my motherboard is not grounded properly because of the lego case. So I went out today and bought a new case, and installed everything. Same problem. However the motherboard light is on. Im assuming I now need a new motherboard, however I wondering if anyone else has any other ideas...
Thanks.
