Replying to Official tutorial "How to build a rail"

Panchuk:

First off, I hope this doesent fail...

How to make a rail

(Plans for a 15 foot rail, you can figure out what you need, either more or less if you even had half a brain.)

Materials

- (2) 16 foot 2x4’s
- (1) 10 foot 2x4

(1) 8 foot 4x4
- (3) 10 foot lengths of PVC
-  Screws
- Scrap wood (might be needed)
- Hand saw
- Drill

So, you have your pile of wood, and your little brain cant comprehend what to do with it. Well… look no further.

(Step 1.)
First, cut 1 length of PVC in half, you should now have 2 10 foot lengths of PVC, and 2 5 foot lengths.

(Step 2.)
Take your 16 foot 2x4 and cut 1 foot off of it. Do the same with the other one. You should now have 2 15 foot lengths of 2x4’s. You’ll have 2 1 foot lengths left over.

(Step 3.)
Take your 8 foot 2x4 and cut it up into (4) 1 foot sections, you’ll have a 4 foot length left over.

(Step 4.)
Screw them in like this:

(Step 5.)

Take your PVC, and line it up on the ground, so the 2 10 foot lengths are side-by-side, and same with the two 5 foot lengths. Like so:

Take 1 of your 15 foot 2x4’s and place it on top, like this:

Drill in through the top like this:

Do this however man time you would like down the length of the PVC, I do it about this many times:

The trickiest part is now done.

(Step 6.)
You know have a wonky-ass, shitacular rail. We gota fix this up.
Take your 15 foot length of 2x4, and drill it in the bottom, like so:

(Step 7.)
You now how a 15 foot ladder. To fix this, do as I say.
Take your 10 foot length of 2x4, and cut it up into (3) 3 foot sections. You’ll have a 1 foot piece left over.

(Step 8.)
Take your sections, and drill them in like so:

YOUR DONE ZOMG!

TIPS!
If your making a rail taller then 2 feet, I would suggest something like this: (Using crossbraces)

That’s about it. Good luck and have fun building and shredding!
