Clean the sensor yourself. Go to Glazers and rent lenses. What do you want to try anyway?

if you get a 70-200 save up the extra cash to get the IS.
I am perfectly happy with my 50 1.8, the 1.4 seems unnecessary to me, I would rather have an 85 1.8.
sigma 10-20 is good as long as you don't plan on doing anything 35mm or get a full frame.

I've got the 70-200 if you ever make it to bellingham and wanna try it out
But if I did it over again, I'd save up an extra $300 and buy a used 2.8 non IS, unless you REALLY want a lightweight kit.
Also check out tokina's 11-16 or 12-24 for UWA. I don't like the Canon's variable aperture.

I wish I had money for lenses... I used the 70-250 2.8 and a 400mm fixed watching ALMS in utah, and I fell in love with both of those lense... I just have crap lenses :(
Billy... you don't have anything sub-18mm you would let me borrow for a week would you? Widest I have is my 18-55 kit lense, and I want something wider (the wider the better) for my desert trip to Utah next week (I leave saturday morning).
I will message you...
