Driving from North Carolina to Calgary

2 600 miles, 40 some hours of driving...should be a good time. I am bringing a very full ipod.  Oh and as far as the border goes I have already done this so I know how that all works, fees and so on. 

If you're close to the GA/TN border stop by Ruby Falls if you have time. It's pretty cool.

Great smokey mountain national park, i think its in Tennesee and Kentucky, though not positive. I hear its beautiful, so i think you should go. Then go to yellowstone, and check out the lesser known places that you will probably never go to again while youre in the midwest of US

bryce canyon and Zion. find a way.

The dragon is certainly one of the highlights of the trip...its worth the couple hour diversion I think.

Is it in charlotte?

Ok, I've been to almost everywhere that youre gonna be driving in. First, in North carolina, eat at cook out. Its a sick fast food restaurant. Get a burger try, you get a burger, 2 sides and a drink for like $4.

Smoky mountains. You'll be driving on I-40, so its a simple exit. You can go camping at Elkmont or Cosby on the TN side. Elkmont is further, but its cooler. You can go tubing on the Little River and there are some cliffs you can jump off of on it down the road toward the Y(where theres an intersection with the road that goes to cades cove). There are usually a lot of people there. Then theres a place where the road goes over the river and theres a waterfall and small cliffs there too. You can go up the main road into the mountains if its clear. They arent huge, but they are close to 7,000 ft. And they are super pretty.

St. Louis
Gateway arch. Go up it. Saarinen is the architect and its badass and you go on these cool elevator things.

Kansas sucks. I would drink a lot if other people are driving and you arent. Really it sucks. It takes forever and almost nothing changes.

Colorado
Go to a basin if its open. If not ski at st. mary's glacier. Its a few exits before idaho springs. Its a pretty fun place to stop at, hike a little bit, get a couple of runs in during the morning and continue driving.

Tetons
They are really cool. Stop here too.

Yellowstone
Cooler than the tetons but less skiing. Cool shit to see like geysers and shit. Go to the old faithful geyser basin and norris geyser basin. Dont waster your time with mammoth hot springs. The grand canyon of yellowstone and yellowstone falls are pretty sick. Wake up early to see grizzly bears. they are bad ass. Go on the road between
canyon village and roosevelt lodge and if youre going north, right after the road that goes to mt. washburn is a good place too look. I saw a mom bear and two cubs. They were 40 feet from me(but there were fat people beside me so I knew I wouldnt die cause I can run faster). travel with fat people for this.

Glacier national park

its pretty cool. skiing on logan pass. go.

if you were to reroute to chicago instead you could stop at the outlet mall... its skier paradise... XXXL Sypder Jackets for $150. Then you could stop by my house and finish filling up my foam pit haha

thats a bad way to go. you will be driving through all of the shitty states. if you plan your trip right, you wont hit traffic in chicago. all you have to do is make sure you drive through during the morning or early afternoon just like any other big city. i would much rather drive through the midwest than the south and the other states in the woods.

Well a little north. I live in cornelius right above huntersville around lake norman.

My dad goes the Chicago way there and back twice a month from Calgary. All in one go, only stops are for food and bathroom. He's hardcore.

Only get cookout if you don't mind your car smelling. It tastes good but the fries can stink up an entire room. There is one really close to my school and this annoying girl brings it in and gloats it in our faces that her boyfriend brought her cookout while it stinks up the whole class room.

those fries arent any worse than wendys or mcdonalds. they are better.

Ok maybe the girl stinks but it has happened at least 3 times and the smell bothered me each time.
