So this morning I ordered wider brakes for my Deadbolt 18's from the 4frnt site.  Early this afternoon I got a call from them apologizing for how much my shipping is (I'm in Canada) and they just wanted to know what t-shirt size I wore.  Now I was fine with paying what I needed to because I have no dealer around and I need bigger brakes for my skis but I'm even more stoked they were willing to give me a call, apologize for shipping costs and offer me a free shirt.  Props to 4Frnt!

Yeah, pretty sure I would never get their skis, but I trust Tyrolia and therefor 4Frnt's bindings and I'm stoked on their customer service.  My Deadbolts are going on my LL2's.

It is cause of the type of edges 4rnt was using, which are the same as were used in racing skis a long time ago.  They have no teeth, rather are just solid, so no vds/fiberglass can get into the edge teeth and hold it in.  You obviously still get some bonding, but the physical retention of material being actually within the edge teeth is far superior to just having the bond on the outside of the solid edge flange.

yeah, 4frnt seem to have slipped underground, and not in a good way. The smaller brands, like Surface, Bluehouse etc are becoming more popular but 4frnt doesn't seem to have much stoke surrounding it at all. Maybe because their skis are hideous and poorly constructed, and the marketing man hasn't been too busy.

my buddies brand new 08-09 ehps from bc.com came and straight out of the packaging they had already been epoxied on the tip and poorly sanded down where aparently the ski had delaminate. he paid like 600 dollars for them with a discount. luckily they are from bc.com so he can return them whenever. but still come on 4frnt.

I will never ever buy anything from them. that pretty much say everything. Im happy to hear good stories like that tho , maybee that made them realize something.

Like I said, I'm buying a rebranded Tyrolia product and giving props to the customer service I got.  I've never been stoked on their skis.

This year Salomon's edge armor was super successful, so 4frnt realized they needed to push the sport.  They came up with removable edges.  You'll never get hooked on a rail again.

I have not had any problems with my 07/08 EHP 186's.  The best skis I have ever been on.  If this many people are having issues, however, I hope they resolve it.  I don't think any other company has skis in there line that are as good.  With a 186 EHP and a 182 VCT I would be pretty well covered.

I've never been blown away by their skis, i have heard their customer service is good, but they're rep grouping for my area is probably one of the biggest group of assholes i've ever met. I wont bring them into my shop based on that principle alone.
