Obama destroys nascar

I am not a huge nascar fan but i am a huge car and racing fan and this fucking sucks. fuck you obama.

Just when we thought we could take a breather from Barack Obama’s wacky policies, he reached across the Atlantic today to drop another one on us: the White House today announced that GM and Chrysler’s participation in NASCAR racing must end at the end of the 2009 season.

Naturally, NASCAR fans are outraged and NASCAR itself is reeling from reduced team spending.

Obama theorizes that a complete withdrawal from America’s premier racing series is expected to save more than $250 million between GM and Chrysler. Is Obama in the auto business now?

“Automakers used to operate on the principle of ‘win on Sunday, sell on Monday,’ but the Auto Task Force’s research just doesn’t validate that as true,” said the statement from President Obama. . . .

. . . “In order to receive this money, corporations must demonstrate they will spend it wisely. Racing has been said to improve on-road technology, but frankly, NASCAR almost flaunts its standing among the lowest-tech forms of motorsport. NASCAR is not proven to drive advancements that transfer from the racetrack to the road, and this nation’s way forward does not hinge on decades-old technology. We need new, and we need innovation.”

if he tried to destroy the NHRA i would be getting pissed...  300 mph on a quarter mile is FAR more entertaining than watching people drive in circles for hours.

Nascar is the stupidest fucking thing considered to be a sport or form of entertainment. Nascar and people who enjoy nascar are ruining our fucking environment.

i live in bellingham, wa.  drive a 1984 bronco with the stars and bars on my tire cover, own guns, shoot guns, shoot coyotes and deer, and when i pull up next to a prius or some other piece of shit hybrid i put my truck in neutral and start pumping the gas then yes....  i am a redneck.  and if you have never seen a top fuel dragster go then you sir, have issues.

As far as I'm concerned those car companies are lucky they still exist, let alone have a race team.

I just wish Obama had made the boards of all the major American manufacturers resign before the companies got any money. Anyone who can drive a company that far into the ground does not deserve to sit behind a desk of any kind.

i actually like seeing businesses held more responsible instead of giving people who lose the companies billions huge severance packages. and socialism and fascism are completely opposite ends of the political spectrum, so you might want pick one side to focus on (fyi obama is leaning left, aka more socialistic ideas)

And if this were true it wouldn't really bother me. Nascar is bunk shit.  Besides, if those companies are ready to accept billions of dollhairs from the government they should expect some kind of intervention.
