Help me Butter

I just got new Line Invaders and I have salomon flyer boots (2005)

When i try to nose butter my heels lift in my boots a bit and my shins hurt. (even with boots tightened all the way). My tails come off the ground a tiny bit but thats all. When i try to tail butter it hurts my shins too much to lean back.

Any tips on how to nose butter, do i really need to lean forward like crazy or are my boots fucked.

It sounds like your boots may be too big. I had a similar problem with my heel lifting, so I took the liner out and attached some strips of thin adhesive foam to the outside of the liner just above where my ankle would be. I then duct taped them on to keep them in place. It worked perfectly, and now my heel doesn't really move.

I also used to have those Solly boots, and found that the thin powerstrap created some weird pressure points, so I replaced them with a much wider one, which helped a lot.

your  boots do not fit, heel should not be moving.  I got shin splints (shin bang) from trying these with boots that were too big

stiffer boots helped me butter.  i went from rossi sprayer boots (reaaallly soft boot, 50 flex) to full tilt camos(stiff, 100 flex) and it was night and day.
also, when i was learning, i would go onto my tips, and then try to spin.  this barely works.
wind up for your spin and start to initiate it before going onto your tips.
also, don''t try them at a crawl.  you don't have to be clipping, but get a decent amount of speed.  it makes it easier

depends. you can get different tongues to make them flex more or less. i have the softest tongue and it flexes quite a bit. but thats how i like it. im not sure how much the tongues cost. anyone know?

ya i would have to agree with pow-ninja, it sounds like your boots are too big and u have shin bang. i bought new boots a couple sizes smaller and i don't have the shin problem any more. your heel is probably lifting out of your skis because your binding dins are too loose. tighten them up a couple notches and you wont eject as easy.

If you are going to buy new boots i would sugest full tilts or salamon boots. that would solve all ur problems bro.

word but im talkin numbers. im in the Dalbello krypton rampage and its is an 80 flex boot. but i can put these things in or something to make it go to like 110 flex

a boot that fits will solve all of your problems.  don't run to a Full Tilt or SPK just cause dumont uses them.
your boots are too big.  get boots that fit, no matter what they are.  that will solve your problems.

Your boots are too big. Go to a proper boot fitter and get that shit on lock! I had the same problem for two seasons skiing a boot that was at least a size and a half too big.
