WE have a post a pic of your rail. Now that the seasons coming to a close lets get a "POST A PIC OF YOUR DROP IN" thread. This will also help with all the repetative threads on drop in plans. I dont have on yet so post away.

We dont use it anymore because my friends b-yard is on a slant and we dont feel like transporting it. So we just hit the rail at my house.

Ps that sketchy ass box wasent holding up the rail usually, it just ended at the end of the ramp and we had a little kicker

a work in progress obviously. Its about 16/17 feet tall.


not sure how big im gonna make the second platform. thinking  of having an 8 foot drop.

either one really long rail or maybe have to hills, and have 2 rails in a row a flat box on the flat.

metal rails too

i have alot of ply left over from some of my old mini ramps. thats alot of the cost if you by new ply, but you dont need new stuff.

2x4s are pretty cheap, but im over building this one. so im going threw wood pretty fast. Everything is supported way too much, i bough i new miter saw and have been having fun with it. it doesnt shake at all if you rock it, it all moves together(super heavy though)

i  have 2   2inch 21 foot long pipes i bought from a construction company, those ran like 200 for both.(i bought them for coping a while back and never used them)


maybe like 750 in wood all together, but i plan to make it kinda ridiculous.

i got a quote for a shipment of astro turf. that would prolly be a couple hundo, but i might mix it with carpet.


i think ghetto rigs might still be the way to go, but i want something really legit. and i enjoy building.

im like mid party right now so i dont really know what im saying.



but 2x4s arte pretty cheap.



ps if anyone wants to come help me with it, its all appreciated. give me tips of what not, or come shed when its done.
 will def get pics up as it progresses

i don't even know what im quoting. there's just so many things. like, how did you spend $750 on wood. that amazes me because last time i bought 2X4's i paid $1.70 for each plank and $7 for a 6X8 sheet of plywood. Did you buy enough wood to build a small house? or did you pay more than you had to. please enlighten me

i probably could build a house with all the wood.  2x4s are mad cheap, i got some for free, but im using soooooo many. And i dont think i actually spent that much. not sure what the official numbers are. my old halfpipe was over a grand, but alot of that was ply, which im recycling on this.

im sure itll def get close to 500 though. all the bbeams are double thick, stupidi amounts of supports now.


i dont live near a home depot, so the price at the lumber yars i go to is higher, but with some of the free stuff i got it pretty much evens out. You wouldnt think you could use that much wood. But it goes fast. I buy a ton of 2x4s and next thing i know there all gone.

when its done itll be almost bullet proof, not needed, but i felt like it

lmost done with it. Just need to add supports to the first plywood sheet. As you can see it is just resting on the steep part of the drop in. But good idea of what the final one will look like.

just finished it, its 140cm tall and is positioned on top of a dirtpile thus making vertical drop = 2m(=6ft?)

for the box im thinking about using teflon or pvc, teflon obviously slides best, but aint teflon too soft ?

its a little slow actually. im looking into snow gel, or a pvc/tarp drop in to make it faster. transition is good though
