I just ordered 179 and wondering if I should've gone with 189...

I'm 5'9 180lbs looking it to use mostly for pow, trees, and backcountry booters.

The thing is 189 is only 2 inch longer tip and 2 inch longer in the tail.

Can't be that much different...

How much better float will the 189 have than the 179???

sure they would be big, but i your were comfortable on these your gunna be able to ski the 189s.... and the 189s are waaaay more badass, if you can ski them that is

correct me if im wrong but ive heard a rumor that the hellbents run 5cm longer than what they actually say they are.

so 179 is actually 184? true?

theyr hellbents... you arent gonna have problems with float. its obviously your decission but the 189 is just gonna be harder do manuever in th tighter situations like in the trees.if i were you, id go for the 179s, and you 5'9"..... they are allready gonna be an inch or 2 taller than you.

Hellbents do run 5cm longer or so, but the fact that they are reverse camber easily makes up for it since you aren't actually skiing a lot of the ski.
