Replying to Twixtor in after effects need some help if anyone uses it

so i decided id get this and ive got the manual but its big and long and i just want to see some results yadada mean?

so anyway i understand the basics i think. but ive got my time remap mode set to speed. then for speed % i put it too 50%. all is good it slows down my footage!

only thing is...k its hard to explain. say my footage is 2 seconds long and i slow it down by 50%. it slows it down but it still only plays for 2 seconds. so im losing a good chunk of my footage like it wont stretch the clip on my timeline and i dont know how to make it longer.

anyhelp would be apreciated ive kinda read the manual but it just explained a lot of what the buttons did and its hard to search for this specific thing.

do i have to time remap with after effects and then apply twixtor and it kinda does its stuff in the background?
