Handycam hdd camera to Mac

Anyway to get footage from a Sony Handycam Hdd camera to a Mac without a firewire? I have the usb dock thing but no idea how.

the USB cable is for uploading still images. I'm pretty sure you need a firewire cable to upload footage onto your comp.

i reccomend just bying a cheep ass fire wire cable. Heres a really good site i would reccomend.
