has anyone actually ski jumped before?
it is probably the coolest feeling when the air grabs the tiips of your skis and then you float and fall with style. ski jumping is proven to be one of the safest sports out there also. it has to do with the angle of the jump and landing or something. i just read part of a ski jumping history book while in the library at school the other day.
what function does the x-long skis serve? speed?
Im sure wing suits are illegal but they would be sick
longer skis are generally stiffer so that you can generate more speed on the inrun. thats why you see racers using longer skis in the downhill and stuff. the longer skis are idk aroud 100 in width with no sidecut, so the fattness and longness combined catches the wind so people can fly.
and for the wingsuit haha, the jumped arent even allowed to unzip thier suit because it will allow air in thus giving them more lift.
