beat matching wont do anything to help. for some reason people think that if you can beat match two songs it will sound good. first thing i do is make sure the songs i'm mixing are in the same key. but i'm not saying that if they aren't in the same key it will sound bad.

Hmmm touche.  I'll accept that as a viable answer, although it seems as though Biggie's raps can pretty much fit any key because of their low tones.  I'm sorry I'm such a nooby at this, I just thought I'd post this idea.  If anything can be done with Smoke on the Water, it would be pretty sick...just saying.
