Night Skiing Crowbar Lens

So i need a lens for night skiing desperately! i'm looking at a few different options and i want to know what ns thinks is best. so....  normal clear, ruby clear, gold clear, titanium clear, hi yellow? something else entirely? remember this is just for night skiing. lets hear it. thanks

I'm about to buy a clear lens for night skiing.  I haven't tried any of those other ones but I figured clear just made sense.

HI yellow gives me a headache if i use it too long though. i heard ruby clear is better.

i ski at night every day for racing under shitty lights and clear is by far the best. i compared clear and hi-yellow and visibility is way better with clear, hi-yellow shows the terrain a little better but it's significantly darker than clear

ive had the hi yellow for a while as my night lens and im not a fan any more, its too bright and annoying, it gives me a headache at the hill i normaly ski at because its decently lit. i bought the vr50 emerald lens and it works well day and night and looks sick (a little dark in some spots at this kind of shitty of night skiing hill badly lit thou. its relatively transparent compared to the iridium lenses (thou not nearly as much compared to the ones you listed above). but i like it because theres not too much contrast with the lense, something i had a prb with in my hi yellow lens.

sweet. thanks for all the info guys. it sounds like clear and hi yellow are the favorites and thus current front runners in my lens quest. although nobody seems to have actually ridden the other clear options (ruby, titanium, gold). anybody have real first hand expirience with those?

hi yellow is supposed to be nicer because it brings out contrast in like the features so you can see it better, for low-light or bad lit slopes.

yeah i was wondering the same thing and had it down to either hi yellow or clear. it seems like a few people get headaches from hi yellow

If you want something with night time performance AND good looks get the pink iridium....perfect lens

HI yellow bugs me at night and during the day
i just go for clear at night, but one of the other clears might look better, they would just be darker

ruby clear looks rad. i havent used it, but im pretty sure its just a clear lense with an iridium coating. so it looks baller as fuck, but you can see alot

I have HI persimmon on my crowbars and HI yellow on my spy omegas and I like the HI persimmon the best for at night. If you are gonna get a lens solely for at night I would go with clear

For Oakley I'd highly recommend either High Intensity Yellow or High Intensity Persimmon. Both great at picking up the low light especially if you like to play on the fringe of the lit area to pick up the best pow.  I've never understood the love for clear if you have the possibility to improve the vision through layered colors like HI Yellow or HI Persimmon.

You do not want a clear lens for night skiing. Hi Yellow is what you want. The clear lens will catch glare from the lights and you have no protection from them. Its like looking at a lamp then turning off the lights. You cant see shit.

Then put on a pair of lightly tinted glasses...look at a lamp, then turn off the lights and you will be able to see better. Your eyes actually get shocked by the bright lights while night skiing and then when you look away into the dark your eyes are all wigged out and cant adjust.

Something like an mostly clear iridium is great to

Grey Polarized works in slopes which are lit up. Contours and contrast is perfect in any condition with this lens.
