in snowboarding its kinda a unwritten rule that you do a straight air for a style trick. Judges don't really take off for it

yeah some had good runs but then theres the others that just pull straight airs and all the guys who crash. not the most fun thing to watch.

yeah but if you are in ski pipe and do a straight air you dont stand a chance to qualify

sorry for dub post but i forgot to say that if you've ever tried landing anything on a snowboard, especially a pipe hit, you'd know that it's a lot harder than landing on skis. and it never gets any easier.

so true, I tried pipe this year while snowboarding and its a billion times harder than skis. You have to balance on edge the whole time, while skis is super easy since you have two skis to adjust with and balance yourself
