figured i would make a thread about this seeing as how i had a pretty sweet one the other day

skiing some pow in the glades at tenney mountain in plymouth nh, saw a down tree that looked like it would be PRIME to jib, went for it, pow sunk under my skis, tips went under and i caught my boots on the log. double ejected and nearly broke my back haha it was one of the scariest things ever. let's hear some stories ns

This one time, I was doing a front flip off a roller, and I didn't get all the way around, and my tails stuck into the snow, then the weight of my body flexed the skis so that when they ejected they flew through the air like arrows from a bow.

was dropping this rock cliff thing in the trees at mary jane that i had already done once that day that was about 15 feet, but on the second shot went too fast into it, so fell about 20 feet, stomped it, but my skis basically just stopped dead in the snow, so i dub-ejected and did a front flip. it was really fun though, powder is awesome

I was skiing with some friends of mine at night, it's super bump bunch of snow drifts and clumps from no grooming. Me being the idoit i am , i'm wearing flat light goggles so you cant see the bumpb until youre on top of them. So i go to stop then bam hit a bump side ways get double ejected and tumble around 16 ft to the tips of my friend skis laughing my ass off.

Basically, a high flat rail with a short landing, me having a bit too much speed, stomping it switch on flat ground and double ejecting. Must have looked pretty stupid with me tumbling backwards with my skis left perfectly alligned on the ground. I don't really know how my toes go ejected what seemed vertically, but I sure know my DIN is set a bit higher now.

getting hung up on branch under snow, double eject, into powder waste deep + Brighton = priceless...

or my brother at PC hitting a cat track and owning himself and sliding about 20ft down the hill was hilarious too.

Kind of landed on the knuckle where our landing was; wasn't massively deep and a bit packed down so kind of bounced a bit.

idk if this counts but i dropped a good 10ft rock to pretty much flat powder, landed, somersaulted, and skied away.

yesterday i was at cannon and my friend was trying to hit a jump it wasnt to big proably like a 30ish but there was a huge group of people a few hundred feet up the hill waiting to hit the jump or just taking up space. So some kid got hurt in the park and was coming down in the ski patrol sled, a ski patrol guy yelled at the huge group of people that they needed to leave so my friend dropped in to hit the jump but he got cut off by like five little kids and didnt have enough speed, he decided to hit it anyways. So he hit the jump flailed like crazy and knuckled it as soon as he hit the knuckle both his skis came off and stayed exactly were they were on the knuckle and he bounced and slid down the landing face first it was hillarious just because you could see exactly were he landed because he skis stayed there.

I was at Mary Jane in the trees off of Boiler, didn't see the massive log underneath the snow.... wham both skis under the tree and I summersaulted down for a bit.

I'm going way back for this one (8 years I think). There is no video or photo proof this happened, you're just going to have to believe me.

I was skiing with my friends (one being a photographer who happened to not have is camera at the time, which sucked) in the park. Went to slide the S rail. The S rail went skiers right from the take off... so like right c to left c. I was sliding it right foot forward. I slid the rail, but started sliding back off the rail near the end. I tried to lean forward to correct, but the pressure was too much and I double ejected... right near the end of the rail. My feet clipped the end of the rail causing me to start flipping. I did a front flip off the end of the rail and landed on the landing in my boots and boot skied away clean. It was epic.

caught a root or something skiing glades at stowe, double ejected, front flipped off a little 4 or 5 foot cloff and landed sitting down in like 2 foot deep snow.  it was really funny because i completely stopped moving once my ass touched the snow.

I was going to disaster to the down of a flat down and I didnt notice my bindings were really loose and I went off the lip and in the air my skis just fell off and I ended up landing on the box in my boots it was pretty cool but painful when I slid out onto my tail bone

after they groomed out our whalebacks it still left these little rollers on one of our blacks and all morning me and my friend were just bombing it and boosting them and that day was the day where it was like 60 on the EC and we decided it was last run so we go. Everythings normal snows a little chunky but about 35 feet from the end of the run i boost hit a sticky spot one ski sticks and doesnt move and i keep going and after about 2 feet on one the other got ripped off. I got a gnarly concussion and some sick ice burn. Sorry its so long.

i was going to down a groomer, and half way down they were blowing snow and it was sticky. So when i hit the sticky snow going fast i double ejected and fell on face. It was funny and really embarrassing.

so i rolled up to this small cliff, like 10 feet, the snow was really good.
three'd it pretty clean and hit the snow totally balanced.
wasnt expecting anything at all(worst kind of fall).
my 82mm waist skis went right under, double eject, tomahawk down quite a ways

my friend was skiing from pow in the trees onto a groomed trail and his tips got caught under the packed part and he double ejected n frontflipped, unintentionaly

my skis landed on the lift house, and then ski portrol romped up on sleds and shut our little 1/4 pipe down, and said we couldend make jumps there, i was a smart ass and told them it a wasen't a jump and such. anyways they tore it up and put bamboo sticks in front of it!

i went to drop off what i THOUGHT was a rock at steamboat. turns out it was a snow covered tree that just flexed under me, so my tips submarined when i landed and i frontflipped out into a huuuuge drift and got totally buried in it.


also one time my brother was maching down from chute 1 there, because the trail back to the lift is mega flat. but he hit a dip, his skis stopped, he didnt.

Yesterday

weant to pull a 3 of a 30ish jump at my hill, all day people were having problems getting speed for it....and evidently so did i. I get the rotation land straight on the knuckle, double eject, fly out and like frontflip down the landing. it was funny because it didnt hurt the least bit i got straight up and weant to get my ski's and found them perfectly aligned right where i landed, i laughed outloud.
