Hey... east coast skier here. Only been skiing for two years... 18 days on snow my whole life. Started dropping into the park and trying some jumps, rails, and just being creative with the mountain. Effen' love skiing and I just want to progress and see how far I can get. I always knew about this site (somehow?) but decided it was time to join, find some new buddies and learn how not to be a ski loser.

Obv. btw my name is Katie... and I live two hours away from the closest mountain. Pity me.

i know it's super shitty as far as skiing is concerned. pretty much the only good thing is the proximity to nyc. but hey we cant ask to be born places, can we? =/

but hopefully i will be going to college somewhere better, like denver. or vancouver. or who the hell knows... just some place better.

i hail from another forum, which is for something totally different, but im a moderator there, we have over 70,000 members and if you don't type formally and god forbid you curse, you're banned. its also almost 100% male dominated so... haha im feelin' right at home, except here i can totally relax and not have to worry so much about the literacy of my posts.

But im really liking this place because skiing just has grown into something so powerful inside of me, and that passion is so evident in the rest of this website and all these members, except all you guys totally hide it with all your "steezin'" "steezyness" "steezalicious" talk. But I know the love is there. ;)

Plus I have been welcomed in such a friendly manner, aside from all the "I'm gonna bang you so hard!" type of messages. But hey, I'll deal, I'll deal.

Thank you, there are some very nice areas in Jersey, come to princeton where i live, go to far hills, nice areas, I hate all the jersey douchebags on tv giving the whole state a bad name

welcome to the community. as long as you have access to the internet, you will never be bored with nothing to do ever again. unless its the middle of the night and no one is posting.

and yeah cults are like user created forums for specific things. you only get to see them if you are a member, usually require an invite (or you can request).

Its not my choice, I've got a free ride there every weekend because I go with my township. Every sunday all winter you get on a coach bus and they take you there for the day. If I had a car and like, money, I would totally go to blue. I'd go to vermont. Hell... I'd go out west if I could. Hahaha..

By night it's going to suck, no matter how good it was because all the little kiddies ski up the jumps in a wedge and roll right over. It's like just a bunch of rollers instead of jumps by 7 or 8 cuz the lips are all flattened out. The rails are pretty decent though, and occasionally they have the cool odd objects in the snow to jib off of. Right now they have this giant teepee tower thing thats really sick. There is also a little butter pad towards the bottom. There are some little kickers people have built in the woods between trails but you'll have trouble finding them at night I'm thinking.

Sparknotes - it's ok, if you like rails and boxes. for jumps, don't waste your time.

I got fucking worked on the last jump in the line last night.  couldnt get enough speed an cased it like no other.  Bit my tongue, spitting blood for a good bit.  Think i may have a concussion.  Knee to face will do that.

I told you not to go!! Of course you couldn't get enough speed, it's flat as a pancake and the snow is shit.
