Opinions on the Skate 2 Demo

Perfect physics/cameras/new tricks/replays.  Along with the all new story and world its going to be insane.  Being able to move objects is unreal I know i will be playing this game forever(never put down Skate since i bought it).  What do you guys think?  Come up with any cool ideas with moving objects yet?

The thing that I am really impressed with is the new smoothness of the rail tricks. They are really really smooth now. The tricks in the air are a lot slower and look a lot more realistic, but it takes away the 900's and the 720's from the first game. Either way the game is awesomely fun and will have endless hours of game play. Getting off the skateboard also allows for a person to get very creative with the enviroment.

The actual demo was too short though, but I guess its good cause it is making me want to play it so bad.

so are you sing you cant do enythingover a 5? if so that retarded. And i hope you can still do corks and doubles in this one. I hate how the demo comes out on the ps3 a week late.

Well in the demo there isnt much room to do a 5, I mean there is a half pipe but i could never do over 5s in a half pipe except in the x games half pipe, so Im not sure. I just think the rotations are a lot more stylish and slower, and from what I think dub flips would be near impossible in this game.  Corks you can still do and they are super smooth. I really relly cant stress how smooth rail tricks are in this game.

Ohh the hand plants and foot plants are a sick addition too, I manage to do a foot plant 270 onto a ledge.

I love how seamless flip tricks and rail tricks are, and the lighting looks way more realistic. Also, flip tricks seem to be easier because I could rarely 3flip in the old one, but they seemed like nothing in the demo. I don't like how it's still the same 6 foot ollie though..If they would just have toned everything down like, a foot and a half, it'd be perfect. Gameplay is so smooth though..

from what i've heard its the same in Skate and Skate 2, that the world record highest ollie is the maximum ollie height your player can achieve

i'm so fucking pumped for skate 2. I left for denver on wed so i havent played the demo yet (was stuck with a foot+ of pow instead :) ), but ive been watching videos of it every night. I cannot wait to play it

Hopefully it'l be easier to do double flips and bigger rotations on the xgames style jumps cause I remember in the last one when you got a certain amount of air you couldnt spin fast. This game is for sure gunna be sick, the demo was addicting.

sooo stoked, my skate broke like a month ago so ive just been sitting around waiting, on the demo i like how you can walk but its kinda choppy turning around and just taking like a step or two to move something, other than that it is sooooo amazing

there's no way the maximum ollie is the world record ollie. I remember going into replay editor waiting to check out like, some awesome handrail I just polished, only to find out that I'd ollied seven or eight sidewalk squares before the rail, been hovering like three feet above it, and then just somehow zoomed onto the rail.

If I do recall, it is right bumper to do hand plants, and the right stick is used to different plants just like the grab tweaking feature.

they haven't released it for north america yet, but you can do what i did. 1st create a new user for your ps3. then log onto that user and go to the playstation store. next, create a new playstation store account, saying that you are from the uk. then lie about everything else. then you should be able to download the demo.

haha i did that for tekken 5 or whatever it was like a year ago.

is it out yet for the ps3? i read online it comes out the 15th...my ps3 is at school, i'm going back tomorrow and wanna play. also, does that glitch work for ps3? i remember for the skate 1 demo you could get out in the xbox version, but not ps3. and also, is there a 30 minute time limit on the demo like the skate 1 demo? and if not, can you still just ride around, or do you have to do a set path.
