Did some searches on google trends, searches for skiing seems to be going down and down, the winter of 2003/04 had the higheest amount of search then it just decresed every winter. See here http://google.com/trends?q=skiing&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

Why?

Also, we have been beating snowboarding for quite a while, but this winter were losing already! WHy? See here - http://google.com/trends?q=snowboarding&ctab=0&geo=all&date=all&sort=0

Doesn't look like snowboarding is 'beating' us this year, compare by typing 'skiing, snowboarding' and we seem to be ahead?

Not sure how much you can read from this, afterall who the hell just types 'skiing' into google? I love skiing but have never just randomly searched for it!

This reminds me of studying statistics a few times, and learning about forecasting etc due to seasonal or cyclical factors - any snow related search shows a perfect example of seasonality - my god..
