Archos 605 compared to ipod touch/other players

Wondering if anyone here has an archos media player and what they think about them, and if able, compared to an ipod touch. It is between the 605 and the 705 and the ipod touch.

Curious about:

reliability
interface/user friendliness
uploading music
downloading movies
anything else

my friend had an arcos.

he bought it off of ebay.

the battery shitted out on him, he fixed it. Shitted out again.

he just bought an iPod

that thing looks pretty sick, but not as common as an ipoood

and as original as you want to be, theres something to be said for the commoness of ipods, they are reliable, and apples warranty is sick, i know a kid who sat on his iphone and cracked it, and then dropped it in a river, and took it back and they handed him a new one.

yeah the same here my nano shitted out on me I sent it back to them and they gave me a new one I didn't even have to pay shipping. I couldn't be happier with the touch I bought myself it's sick

thanks for the replies. however, I am very familiar with apple products and the touch, as my brother and good friend have one.

and the best brands in up and coming technology I guarantee you haven't heard of, so I don't see how the fact that you've never heard of them matters. They are leaps and bounds ahead of apple, they just don't make notebooks, comps, etc. anyways sorry to come off pissy, but if anyone here has an Archos that would be a great help!

It also stores photos, is a full web browser, has DVR capability, and is one of the best movie players. Has a 800x450 screen resolution.

I have the 605 and it is absolutely amazing! The only bad thing is that they don't make it anymore so I can't get wifi for it.
