'safe' bindings

 K right now i might have a torn ACL from skiing

and i have new skis i just have to decide on bindings now

and natuarly i have decided to look mor at safe bindings that you can still rip with but wont blow out your knees as easy

i have heard the STH14 and 16 are safe because of the horizontal release but i am not sure

thoughts

p.s. it will be for hellbents or bent chetlers depending on which i can get faster

fks 155/p15 would be good, sth 16s are good to. how much do you weigh ian?

i have to pay for them though

All bindings have lateral release in the toe. None in the heel. Except for kneebinding, a new binding that came out this year, which would be the safest binding. Not sure whether you could rip with it.

Have you seen the price tag? That thing is fucking expensive for a 12 DIN binding, so we'll need to see if anyone even buys it, let alone see whether it's a reliable binding.

Yeah i was joking for the most part.  Seems like its more of a safety binding than anything that would bode well in the park

Oh definitely, I think it's more for someone who's just demolished their knees skiing, and is just looking for anything to keep on skiing safely.

At your weight you could try something with an upward release in the toe like the FKS120

i tore my acl too, just wear a knee brace (i rock a breg fusion) and shred man, if its gunna tear again then its gunna happen, cant prevent that shit...live your life

on a side note i copped sas ti 14's this year and they are dope

A 12 din binding is more than high enough for you. Look at something that has upward release like fks, but you don't need to high of din.

That's not entirely true. The look tt08, or tt09 (I know its not fks, but it has the turntable heel)  has upward release, which can be turned on and off. I have them now, they're pretty dope.

k after 2 weeks of sitting around playing cod 5 and getting an mri and a ct scan (there were no cats) and they still have yet to determine what is really wrong wiht my knee but they have said my ligiments and tendons are all intact but i have bassicaly curshed the shit out of my knee and the bones and such

but yeah i like fks or tyrolias or 4frnts
