so i was trying 270's onto a box a couple of times today and i got the rotation but once i was on the box my back ski kept coming off. i think theres something wrong with the binding cos i use the same ski all the time on my right foot. has this happened to anyone else, or what can i do to fix it besides putting the DIN up. thanks.

Don't listen to this person. You really shouldn't fuck with your DIN unless you know what you're doing. You can put it up like a point past shop default pretty safely, but anything beyond that is sketchy and you should consult someone who knows what's up. Ask a shop to check out your forward pressure, too, but other than that just make sure you're clicking in without any snow on your boots or on the binding (easy to get lazy about if you're constantly clicking in and out hiking a rail or something). If none of that works have a friend watch you closely when you do it, you might be landing on it fucked up or something. Good luck.

I personally don't like doing 270s onto boxes, they feel awkward and they are hard to control once you land. That being said, since I don't like them to much I tend to not go fast enough and clip my back foot on either the lip of the jump or the edge of the box, I don't know if that's happening to you or not, but it might be something to consider. I would try amping up the speed slightly and keep slightly more pressure on your back foot when you land. I would also give it a try on a rail (if you can, i know some places don't have many rails out yet) it's usually easier. But definitely don't mess with the din, it tends to end up with you getting hurt. Hope this helps.

Yes the exact same thing was going on the other day.  I got home and checked and sure enough my forward pressure needed to be adjusted.  I think I was catching edge just enough to pull them off every time I landed.

Yah, don't mess with your dins because I broke my tib and fib and if I had on any higher I would of broke more of my bones. Make sure you know how to do a 270 like the setup and the spin, it's important in your 270 to set a 180 with your shoulders and let your legs and feet do a 90 kinda like a shifty. Try this out in your 270 and you don't always have to land 270 if your hitting a box, it helps to pretzel also. Don't know if this will help, but Good Luck.

yeah dude im from edmonton recently my brake on my back ski broke off and when im working on 270s onto a handrail almost every second time i land my back ski pops off it happens to alot of people ask a shop pro if its because you need your din up but dont fuck with it otherwise because you could be putting yourself in danger.
