i think to be classified as a christian you do need to have a basic grounding of the belif system such as that jesus was the sun of god sent to forgive us and to set a new covenent between the human race and jesus and the fact he rose from the dead that sort of thing.

christianity has always had different ways to present god as does every religion. take the west bourough baptist church for example who i think we can all agree are crazy bastereds that have no real christian morals like loving thy enemy and stuff like that.

i think that my relashionship with god is personal and that it is unique to myself but the fundementals are the same god loves me but does not need me i need god and he can provide me with everything i need by giving me the opportunitys to have a fufilling life and one that will welcome me into his arms when i die.

i can understand how people are frustrated by the rules and laws one must follow to be called a good christian but you have to realise that they are more guidelines then rules.

and the question how do i know that christianity is the right religion. i guess i dont KNOW but thats what faith is.

i dont know if that sounded preachy, if it did im sorry anyway if you want to ask me anything else hit me up.

agreed.

They're not imposing their religion on anyone, they're just showing that their religious beliefs are important to them. Nothing wrong with that, I always try to say a prayer or do the sign of the cross before hitting a sketchy jump or line.

ya agreed. not something i wanna hear about skiing, or talked to on the ski hill.  But if he wants to rock it as something that he represents thats cool.  I'll rock ns stickers cuz i like ns, as put above.

Wordzofwizdum, why are you going out of your way to stir up shit?


My two cents: Stickers can convey any meaning or none at all. Most stickers are made as PR by companies, meaning that their images are of company logos or variations thereof. Meanwhile, many of us sticker-consumers end up using stickers as a means of conveying some part of our identity (like a sticker on your ski, or your helmet); and so by default in the case of stickers, we mostly end up tying company logo stickers into our visual stickerly presentations of identity.

This doesn't have to be the case. You might as well have a sticker of a pterodactyl or a rainbow or Bob Marley or, Jesus, just about anyone or anything as long as you feel like its communicating what you want it to.

I respect anyone's personal sticker choice more than the sticker that contractual obligations require them to sport. In other words, props to those who allow a bit of personality to exist alongside the splatter of sponsorship logos.
