Using p-tex on the deck side?

I already managed to take a filthy chunk out of my new line prophets. Wondering if it would be advisable to fill it in with p-tex ala the base. It would be black-on-black so it would work in that respect

most shops use some sort of epoxy for topsheet damage I believe, i dont think ptex would work that well

i did that with my hellbents. first day on them i took a nasty chip in the sidewall/topsheet and i could see the core. i put some ptex on it to keep water out and it stayed fine.

thats because bents have a ptex top sheet

use epoxy if your topsheet isnt made of ptex

according to k2, the topsheet on the extreme and the disorderly is different from the PEs. don't know if the hellbents are different though.

Im looking at mine right now and they arent ptex.  PE from last year was.  It made them so heavy and dead.

yea i've got 08 PEs and they're really damp and dead. i figured my disorderlys were poppier cause they're centermounted but now that i think it's probably the topsheet.

yeah, thats why the top sheet kind of flaked away or whatever rather than cracking or chipping off.

ok...

im talking about 08 hellbents. fraiser has (or had, i think he sold them) the 08 which has the ptex topsheet, same with the 08 p.e.

oh ok yeah if they're 08s then it's ptex. i just didn't know if the 09s were the same or not.
