what foot forward are you sliding?
For right foot forward ls 270 out or left foot forward rs 270 out you pop on and bend you knees a bit and watch for the end of the rail. Right when you get there pop and turn your head the way you want to go as you set your spin, tuck you knees a small bit if you need to so you can clear the rail.. If you practice that you shouldn't hit your tails.
If you are sliding left forward ls 270 out or right forward rs 270 out you just need to grip the rail a small bit, kind of "scissor" it. Then you will get steady and you just set, pop, and spin the same way as before.
