Simon did in a way sell out. He does emphasise taking part larger events such as comps. And he seems to take public relations more serious then alot of other professional skiiers. Understandably you won't become very popular in the skiing community when you do as such. But beeing the icon that he is, he will exponate skiing to the general public. And by doing that you will produce more funds for ski resorts, sell more skigear and recruit more skiiers to the sport. If the sport grows the skiing scene will become better. More kids will get sponsored and more people might be able to make a living out of skiing. I'd like to see that happen. So simon might just do us all a favor. We'll probably see more skiiers doing as simon in the future.

I've NEVER hated MSP or Tanner. But I've always disliked Simon because he says "the money was a big incentive" and what not. And maybe he tried to break the world record so his sponsors would pay him more and what not. Most pros aren't all about the money, yeah its nice and all but they're there to have fun and do what they love and are very passionate towards, which is skiing.

just curious, and i'm not doubting their passion for skiing, but who are these pros you preach about? I bet there have been instances where they have made decisions for money.

Uhuh.......but what happens when you're too old to ski anymore, bet you're glad you end up working in a ski shop not making enough money to support a family.
Look at baseball/golf/football etc, pro's make a shitload of money off of that, pro skiers work as, if not harder, than some of those pro's. Definatley more dangerous. I guess Simon just wants to make a decent living doing something he love's and is good at. Nothing wrong with that. I don't have any hate against Simon.

but what does tak tak mean????? Simon is just well known for pipe but he rips everywhere. The xgames are so publisized and that is why he looks like a halfpipe skier same with tanner

So you dislike him for being honest? Because guess what, all those other pros have financial concerns as well and if the right offer came along, then the money would be a big incentive for them as well.

To think otherwise would be foolish and having the wool pulled over your eyes.

ya I've seen him pull some pretty dick moves.  He was being all nice to a buddy of mine then I see him turn around and start making fun of him to peter and those guys like 8 seconds later
