do u think if i mount my surface live lifes -3 i will still be able to land switch in pow.

I think your skiing ability will have more effect on that then where you mount your skis.

if you suck at skiing and you have the fattest skis on the market you still wont be able to land switch in pow. though the coser mounting may help
