I realize they have been done before so i search barred it and came up with about 10 threads from every year dating back to 2003. None of these threads had any video even though many posts were asking for it. It seems as though it is a mystical trick that can only can only be seen in person but never on video. However i propose an idea (wink) that because it is summer and everyone is fiending for snow we all search hard and come up with as many videos of switch cork threes that we can find. Show this stylish rare trick and the people that do them some love.
i dont think i've seen any clean ones on film where the person comes completely uncorked, most look like andy's in idea where his hands drag on the landing. colby does some nice ones though i dont think i've seen them on film.
i have a feeling i'm going to fail miserable here but tom warnick does a semi clean in this edit http://media.nscdn.com/uploads/member/videos/1204079916loonweekendNoCC.mp4
an overflip is a figment of your imagination. all an overflip is, is a very shitty executed misty 5. let me know the next time you see a pro do an "overflip"
yea windells session 6. all the skiers got together to take the group photo and we had to wait for the camera people. so wallisch starts hiking this tiny hip thing doing flips. he does front, back, lincoln, switch front, and then we convinced him to do switch lincoln. first try of his life stomps it clean. i have so much respect for that guy after seeing that
underflip is more of a 90, lincoln towards the lip, to 90. Rodeos are a bit different. If you carve left you basically pop and drop your head/left shoulder towards the lip.
wrong overflip is basically a misty, underflip is not a rodeo at all.
if you think about the set for each trick, you can kind of break them both down into the combination of setting a loop and a spin. with an unerflip, you will lincoln to the right, and spin to the right or vice versa, with a rodeo you will lincoln to the right and spin to the left, or vice versa again.
they are very different tricks, an underflip more closely resembles a true cork 5 then a rodeo
i learned them like 3 years ago, and then lost them again that same year, i think theyre easier than reg cork 3s.
And man the ultimate trick would be a switch double lincon, think about it, it takes the composure of a zero spin and fixes it with a double flip, itd be crazy
so...underflip is 90 than lincoln towards the take off than another 90
overflip is the same but the lincoln is spin towards the landing
see niklas karlstorm in teddy bear crissis...he does em fuckin nice
and i also think that pk hunder is doing one overflip on the ground in the same movie,
not sure about that one
