Style an extension of your personality?

I was thinking about this concept the other day. Is your style truely an extension of your personality? I started looking at some of the kids i shred with and it just seemed to match up.

Friend A- hates the world, anti establishment type- style-hectic, reckless, out of control but somehow doesnt get broken  off- famous for skiing fast and attacking features as  if he is trying to vent, does alot of misty flips and  never really lands them. says things like " Fuck the chelsey boys at brighton and rich kids make up their own mental problems" Clothing: urban meets snow

Friend B- Humble, shy, friendly- style- old school, controled, never does anything to shake the boat- famous for back flips and pencil threes. says things like " Lets go hike that ridge, I dont care what ever, lets go find some moguls" Clothing:  REI meets snow

Friend C- arogant, self centered,- style, really modern, does alll the stock tricks that get the kids jizzin, not alot of flavor, leans toward the competition aspect of things- famous for corked nines and statements like " Dont bother me, Im trying to train" Clothing: what ever the sponsors tell him to wear

Friend D- stoner type into new age philosophy,art and  likes to talk about animals, nature and vegatables- style- relaxed, mellow, no grabs, fluid and creative- famous for things like big 180s off of natural features into utah virgin snow and riding on two snowboards. says things like " I rise with the animals, and he didnt land that because he exhibited too much negative energy" Clothing: earth tones and big hand made hats.

Friend E-good all around guy, not that bad ass and not that lame, somewhere right in the middle- style- acceptable not alot of style but still appreciated. made famous for big mute grabs, tight turns and gaps. Clothing: Racer meets park, again right in the middle.

well i wear some crazy shit nuts colors and stuff so i guess that makes me crazy
but then on the hill im more of a baggy dark color guy so i dunno what i am now

ya i dont know.skiing i wear like baggy mellow colours but when off the hill i wear bright colours like neon shit all the time.

well look at the videos off newschoolers....

if i had to associate a personality with kids reppint all t's that hang out and bandannas I would go for thug, dont talk to them or they might swing on you type, does lots of drugs and has been in trouble with the man.... but in reality its like the exact opposite, kids are more emo/ airblaster types

i think that is the only style that so many people do and far from act like it.... its pathetic

SOLUTION: every kid you see skiing that looks like a scary mean gang member simply ask them if they have any crack/or know where to get it. if they say yea then watch your back, if they say anything else you should fuck with them and call out how fake they are/posers/idiots who have never lived in a real city

or you could call them niggers

i think your totally wrong... not because you are dressed baggy with a bandana and a long tee that your a gangster wtf... thats pretty much what's cool in skiing... come and tell me that Tom Wallish is a poser because he wears long tees and bandanas... I think thats ridiculous. I wear bandanas cause i find it hot when you ski and I don't think i'm a gangster and i don't sell drugs... it's just a style, it's ridiculous to say that like more than half the people riding in snow parks act like if they were gang members... yeah i think that was stupid ...

the secrets out on friend D. I was mostly  talking about the way you ski as opposed to the particular clothes you wear.  The tall tee kids want to be cool by association, maybe a little bit more social and mainstream?

maybe... or maybe because i think it looks nice... it's a style like another... i'm not bashing on peple wiht thight pants, it's a style, i'm not bashing on people with columbia jackets and pants way over their waist (ok maybe a bit) but that's not the point, it's just a style, has nothing to do with street gangs, wtf it's a ski hill not the fucking gettho. If you ski it means that you ahve money (especially freeski) so there is not many people living in getthos who ski and what if you just go to talk to people dressed like that, most of them will be really nice and talk back to you, go in the gettho and talk to someone dressed like that... he won't be nice i'm pretty sure so that's the point, people dressed like that don't think or try to make people think that they are from the gettho and they are drug dealers, it's just a style ;)

Haha, I probably fit most closely with friend a. I dont neccesarilly hate the world but I definitely vent through skiing. And for the misty flips, low to the ground sketchy misties are my staple trick.

Yeah, that matches up about perfectly. I never would've made that connection.

I wear darker colors that don't stick out, black, grey, browm.

I can definitley see aconnection between style and personality 90% of the time

I deff agree with the theory. I'm a pretty chill kid, just go with whatever. When skiing I spin slow and grab steeze, but don't huck like my nuts are on fire. I'd take pow over spring park anyday, and I listen to chill music when skiing.

I have a friend who thrashes like he's at a rob zombie concert off of features, hates pow, and listens to hard core rap on repeat.

What ever floats your boat I guess

i wear huge clothes, occasionaly a bandana, i could point you in the right direction of some crack if you really want some but i am the least thug person ever. when im not skiing i wear fitted pants and tall tees
